Cargo Van Lost route...need advice on van

When I was PTL I had a 2008 Ford E250 5.4 engine with a 4.10 rear end. I got 16 to 18 MPG no matter how much weight I had on board. Only real problem I had was upper and lower ball joints, and a fuel filter at 96,000 miles. I got rid of it with 156,000 miles on the clock. I was never a Ford...

Sprinter, Nissan, Promaster or Freightliner, diesel or gas, new or used

I would stay with what you are now doing, making that amount is probably better than you would make as a new driver for any company that would hire you.

    Cheap cargo van--good idea?

What engine does it have? If its the 4.6 liter, the plugs will probably break when they have to be replaced, if you don't soak them with PB Blaster or carb cleaner. I had that engine in my 2008 E-250, and the only things I had to replace were the ball joints and the fuel filter. If I got back...

Canada Looking for expedite company in southern ont. Or that takes can drivers

Try PTL.. When I worked there, I did a lot of loads to Canada. However, I was the ONLY one that had a passport and knew the ins and outs of successfully getting the loads through customs on both sides of the border, and I only went through at Detroit/Windsor.

    Continuous DEF Problems with Sprinters

If I got back into expediting, the last vehicle I would get would be a Sprinter. After so many O/Os post numerous problems with them, I can't image why anybody would waste their hard earned money on them.

    i-475 wreck

There was a 4 wheeler getting on from Salisbury Road that didn't yield to the truck that was in the granny lane. He hit the truck's right side and sent the truck over the guard rail onto Manley Road. Most people getting on there for some reason just don't want to yield the right of way.

    Which Size Gas Engine?(Cargo Van)

When I was running with Premium Transportation, I had a 2008 Ford E-250, 4.6 engine. I ran loads from 1/2 lbs to 4,000 lbs(once). Mostly in the 500 to 2800 lb range. It ran great and always had more than enough power to handle the load. When I got rid of it at about 150,000 miles, it was...

    Cargo Van Load Weight

When I was still in the business, I would run from Monroe, Mi to Flint, Mi a coupled times a week in my E250. The load was always 2,800 lbs, and had no problems with it. I did have a 4,000 lb load once from Petersburg, Mi to st. Mary, Oh. Very, very scarey. The tires were ballooning out, I...
