The performance software for my engine came on a little tool that is also an engine code reader. Depending on exactly what the issue is, codes will still be generated.

Understood. I changed my engine wiring harness last year. Do you carry a diagnostic tool with you that can read engine codes? It could point you in the right direction ...

My brother in law is an expediter .. Sprinter owner/op. He hit a bull in TX, somewhere near the border .. can't remember exactly where. He showed me photos of what was left of his van. Scary! Heck you know me, I wake up in the morning fired up. Like I said, I called my home shop in Brevard and they quoted me less than $600 for the swap. I found one single shop, other than Mercedes, in Midland/Odessa that would do it and he quoted me $1,275 .... and get this, he's 2 weeks out...
