    Driving in snow tips

Use caution when downshifting to decelerate on snowy or icy roads - it can cause your rear wheels to lose traction and break loose .... this is particularly true when downshifting an automatic.

    Sprinter Cargo Securement

Was that onto the metal floor - or was there already plywood down ? You may want to save some plywood to cover the insulation you put where the window should be. Assume you're talking about the sidedoor ? There was a grey plastic panel that was in there that I will probably put back up there...

    Sprinter Cargo Securement

Well I managed to get over to Lowes and pick up two 4' x 8' sheets of 3/4" birch plywood. Before I went I drew out a cut sheet on a piece of paper - for $4.75 additional I got them to do about 20 cuts (a bargin for sure) and I wound up with enough to do the floor plus make up a center console...

    Sprinter Cargo Securement

Moot, It's going pretty well, although it's been very time-consuming. ;) Mostly because of the insulation - putting on the Great Stuff expandiing foam can be a little tricky - especially on the celiing ..... ya can't get too much of it on (big gaps) otherwise it just falls out of the cavity...

    2006 SPRINTER

Our 2006 only has 5K miles on it at this point and we've had the following problems: Intake air flow or temperature sensor went bad causing the Engine Malfunction light to come on - vehicle continued to run just fine. Replaced under warranty. Power steering rack developed a leak. The rack...

    heating & ac for sprinters

Bryan, Was this on the ceiling that you used the paneling ? Or just the sidewalls ? Was it called beadboard or tileboard by chance ? A light color or white would be good - keep it bright. I didn't get a chance to finish up the insulation on the ceiling today - ended up having to go running...

    truck specific gps hardware

I have an email into Linda Dove @ NavTeq querying whether any of the 204 attributes that comprise the NavTeq data set are clearance heights, and if not, are they planning to incorporate it at some future date. If I get an answer back on that I'll ask about HazMat.

Good thought on upholsterers ...... I slid over to Lowes this afternoon and picked up a couple of 4 x 8 sheets of 1" polyisocyanate foam insulation (R 6.5). Got two of the six cavities on the roof hung this evening and got all the pieces cut for the rest of the roof.. I just used Great Stuff...

    hey

I expect this post will rub some the wrong way .... but here goes ..... Entirely too much missing data ...... and too many assumptions in this thread .... and others. First, the assumption is made that she has had no drug testing done - maybe I missed something but was that ever specifically...

Brian, Thanks for the info. I am planning on using birch on the floor. Appreciate what you are saying on distance - it's definitely something one can do to keep out of trouble.

    heating & ac for sprinters

Ken, Thanks. Probably a real good idea on the foil-backed stuff - I've heard it works real well. I was hoping that I would be able to use the 2" blue styro but it's just too thick for the ceiling so 1" it is, I guess. I got the price from the local Dodge dealer on the factory headliner .... I...

    Runnin in a Sprinter

Dave, You're asking the wrong guy .... I'm just getting started myself and haven't ran my first expedite load yet - so I'm no wealth of experience. Having gotten that out of the way, personally I'd rather not log and scale - that's part of the reason we own a Sprinter (2500 SHC 158" wb) - the...
