June idle chit chat and banter and freight hauling

Ya know, a few maybe saying no cargo Vans but I thinking most will do the paperwork and orientation on the sprinter type vans. If they use them to the fullest is another story.. I have heard of carriers saying no to cargo vans but sprinter types, not so much. L1 maybe but from what I understand...

I forget the topic or what thread it was in but a short time ago someone asked this very question. I told em to start a thread concerning this very topic. I have no issue posting what I make and posting amount of miles it took to obtain that cash. If vans are taking in .95 all in your doing...

Photo shows 4 fully manned lift trucks, 1 guy in a scooter, 2 guys near the railing, yet after nearly 3 hours of sitting on the dock I get turned away because they don't have anyone working. UAW at its finest. Told to be back by 6am but log book won't let me even think about moving the truck...

Trade shows are not what they use to be, where someone attending would actually get hands on experience or demonstrations. They have now turned into a Vendor O-rama. Where the vendors sole purpose is to take your money. Kinda like the safety class held by carriers. When have you ever attended...

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

Never say never. It wasn't to long ago that the States maintained the roads and right of ways, They even use to build some. Now the road commissions may roll snow but their biggest job it seems is to plant flowers and maybe cut some grass.

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

I haven't had a good month all year, so I used weeks in my equation. But both equations come out nearly the same. Give or take a week. As far as the public, I could give a rats a** about them and if they get butt hurt because their commute is disrupted by these guys. Using your equation, I would...

No a license is not needed. And it does not guarantee you will eat or make you a better fisherman. The reality is, you will pay a fine without that license if you get caught. :D

    Free fishing

So broke this year even with a free fishing day, I can't afford to get a can of worms. And if I did I would have to eat them instead of feeding them to the fish.:D

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

I don't know anyone running for .50 on purpose, some are forced into it maybe? But anyone doing it or paying it deserves to be insulted. :D

So I woke up @ the Walmart truck stop with dead battery's.. Yes my fault, ya see I was so tired from actually working all week I feel asleep with all my accessories left on. So a big shout out to Chris in the Sprinter (XPO) who never batted a eye and came over to give me a jump start..Great guy...

Truckers Continue Protesting for Better Pay

Lots of folks losing it now on a daily basis, so I'm thinking that statement is kind of a wash. I do agree a strike is never a good thing at all. But something has to break soon. We, meaning the labors of this business, (drivers/owners) have done nothing but go backwards for the last several...

What ya mean won't help? Just by making the headlines bring attention to what ever their cause is. Article doesn't touch on any of that. The public now knows there is a problem and how fast it can affect them.

    Gaming is changing.

Saturday night 4 of us after clearing the lanes threw this locally, 12 layers. It stood until late last night when a frog climbed the second highest point in lower Michigan to get to the anchor.. Scored 1 million MU and lasted thru many check points.. Moral of the story, choose your anchor...

    Yet another Detour

I think their real intention here is to get us to stop beeching about the roads. Of all the mess we have now how many of these repairs are going to ease congestion and keep traffic flowing?

June 8th I-94 Jackson Michigan will be closing. And that's all I know at this point and time. According to the signs you will have to exit I-94.. No detour posted yet. Also I-75 Erlanger KY area will start major road construction soon. That's all I know about that one also.. What a mess we are...

Nice...Something tells me that's not the norm anymore tho. Sitting on one of those screwed up orders now and will have to watch payroll like a hawk because anymore wait times seem to change at the drop of a hat.
