Slushbusters? Where can I get them?

Just got mine in... They accept PayPal also if you don't want to put your credit card out there. Might be a little safer?

We never had a lock on the truck working for ES. We get them now occasionally as owner opps, but it's rare.

Not only do you need to consider rate/ mile but hazmat and any other clearance you can get will also help keep your truck busy. If your in a bad freight area with 4 other trucks and a haz load comes up and your the only haz certified truck you get the load even if someone was there before you.

Hazmat only pays when u work a hazmat load. I never was held for a load at ES. I have been since I have been an o/o. Maybe ES has a deal with the fed?

I guess I'll hold out some hope.

Slushbusters? Where can I get them?

I'm gonna give it a few more days then claim it with my credit card as a fraud business. They are pretty good about getting my money back from places like this.

I purchased mine from them 2 weeks ago. Still haven't received them yet...

Certainly something to consider. I don't have any experience with any smaller fleet owners and can't compare ES to them. I would be open to learning who these smaller fleet owners are as I'm sure most people would. Im o/o now, but when I was looking into it people in the classifieds were not...

Maybe, but I'm not sure they are staffed to take those calls. Each fleet manager has like 50 trucks they each manage. They may be spread too thin to get bombarded with calls continuously about load offers. That's why I said in my 1st thread they pay fair but may not be the absolute best paying...

The 3-4 weeks out and home for a week is the minimum you can do. We usually stay out 2-3 months and then go home. Especially when it's busy we stay out as long as we can. I also live near a major account with FedEx so occasionally I'll get a load heading there without planning to go home and I...

The pathway to ownership is real, it is not a scam. It is the program we used to purchase our truck. They take a look at your past year and look to see how your performance has been and use that as a factor to giving you the financing to buy a truck. They have several banks they work with and...

The .48cpm per team, (24cpm per person) is accurate and really the least you'll make. If you get hazmat or other clearances you will make a little more per load. When I was driving for them things like hazmat pay and manual labor were split 50/50 with your co driver and yourself; ES took none of...

I worked for ES for a while. Good people, very honest. It isn't the best pay in the FedEx family, but it is a very fair/ good starting pay. They answer the phone when you call and when you are unsure what to do they will help guide you. They also have both surface trucks and white glove so you...

Info on getting started with FedEx Custom Critical

My co driver and I watched the 50+ YouTube videos online then went to a local driving school that had a 33,000lb dump truck for us to test on. But we have both had experience driving Penske 24' trucks so it wasn't much of a jump for us. The hardest part was the pretrip exam.

    Where do you park?

Local Penske lot next door to my house. I just asked the owner real nice and he allows me to park on his lot. Only thing he asked was to park in the same spots as his 24'-26' trucks in the back so tractor trailer units won't be tempted to park there. It also helps that I don't have the big...

    Aerodynamic Truck

Not to mention they have independent front air suspensions so they glide nicely over the road. ZF provides most of them. Volvo and Freightliner use them in their bus divisions in the US.

    Greetings

Hello from South Louisiana. I wanted to introduce myself, I'm Patrick Lee. I've been reading this forum for 2 years and went into the business for FDCC a year ago in November. Together with my business partner/ co-driver we own a 2008 KW T-660 straight truck (from ES).

    Aerodynamic Truck

One thing to point out is straight trucks have to be under 40' long. Can this be done with a 22' box and a decent sleeper size with a longer aero nose? Or will your truck be more like a Coe and a shorter bbc? It kind of reminds me from the picture of the old Peterbilt 372 or the ford gas turbine...
