What's next in surveillance of ALL motorists

Two unfortunet things, the first being this already has been happeneing and the second is that no one in either party will put a stop to it. Being an election year, the present republican candidates except one are the same as Obama - wanting to control people through the government.

Just an idea. I bought some first aid boxes from some surplus place in Ohio a while ago, don't remember where or who. These boxes are rather neat because they have a latching top and fit perfectly under the seat of a GM van. I would keep some stuff in them like my chargers and computer stuff...

Two questions about the new board ..

Yeah really Lawrence :) But are they virgin machines? I have been doing this stuff for a while and it is habit to find issues, customers like when I turn up something that they didn't think about before going live. I also do load/stress testing every once in a while, using Loadunner and...

Panetta: Israel May Strike Iran This Spring

The reason for this seems to be to warn Iran not Israel. Given that there is a need to set up the excuse factor for our involvement, we are looking at a pretty clear use of propaganda.

New transportation bill creates safety concerns over bigger rigs

Pearl you know that there is a part of 75 that was completely rebuilt from the road bed up and that lasted 8 months before the port holes were taking out tires on my pickup.

Hey 'tude I wasn't yanking his chain at all so no need to defend him. He's learning and listening, unlike some others and seems to get the idea to learn by others mistakes.

Cursive writing maybe dead in the water.

Well if anyone saw the cnbc piece about the socialization of kids, then you will understand that we are screwed as a nation. One reason why I do not communicate via Facebook or support it - oh yeah anyone notice that the fb ipo is $50 billion? There is no reason why it should be allowed.

Para & CRs on the new board

I did notice that that stupid bottom bar which takes up space, cuts off the copyright notice. I don't get ExpeditersOnline.com is a registered trademark of On Time Media, LLC

Para & CRs on the new board

OK that's interesting, I just posted another post and nothing appeared. I asked what browser are you using?

Para & CRs on the new board

There is somewhere that has a setting that allows some users to see the markup language for the posts. I wonder if this is related to the problem of having to click on "go advanced" when you hit reply?

    Indiana becomes 23rd "right-to-work" state

Not really, I was hoping to see most of the services the state provides that the counties provide that the cities provide just go away and with it the number of Canadians that work in the departments. :)

    Hello.....Newby on the lot....

You have to pay? They should compensate you for all driving, regardless what it is. I also think that if they are to expect you to drive as an employee, they keep the van loaded and moving at all times. There is enough cheap uship work out there to keep things rolling.

    Hello.....Newby on the lot....

So as an employee, you are paid by the hour or by the job or by the mile? I would assume that regardless, your compensation for the deadhead is the same as the loaded compensation?

Cursive writing maybe dead in the water.

I think while I was researching some educational thing, I ran across this same quote about Latin. Makes one wonder about the "progress" of our public schools, seeing Latin is still used for a bunch of things while Spanish and French is not. The same goes for short hand, seeing that is a bit...

    Info update on roadshredder

All my years driving, I never had bulbs or headlights break but here is my point, if you have to deal with a problem like a burned out light on the road, then be prepared and bring a few extra with you. Doesn't take up space and it is simple to fix while taking a break.

New transportation bill creates safety concerns over bigger rigs

Well first the roads are not holding up. The high weight limits were imposed for two reasons, one was the steel haulers who ran between the steel mills and the auto companies and other manufacturers. They would have several rolls on a trailer and maybe go four miles on average but that...

Two questions about the new board ..

Lawrence, Pick one - I have them all When you test, do you test with virgin machines or do you test with machines that are used for dev work? As stupid this may sound, it makes a difference.

Sorry but it seems that having spare bulbs, a headlight (or In some cases a bulb) does not take up a lot of room but if one has an issue with a headlight breaking in their van, then I would not put my freight on that van.
