How far should Elementary School go for Peanut Allergy?

I'm in Canada. My boys go to a school where there is reportedly a peanut allergy. The entire school must therefore be peanut free, because of the one person with the allergy... which by the way, I have not seen proof of, nor do I know how severe it is, nor do I know if the mom is just a nutbar...

    Comdata ripoffs

Just a thought from a non Comdata user looking at your list... if you were getting charged 2.50 for each separate line item transaction as noted by the '-2.50' on each line, then would your philosophy not follow through to the end line where it states the total as being '-565.36', along with...

ok NEVER SEND MONEY IN MAIL

That's great that he received it intact. I wouldn't have even started to worry yet though, if only 3 weeks? It takes 2 to 3 weeks to even go between Canada and the US!

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

Personally.... if I were getting an average of 10,000 paid miles per month in a regular unextended cargo van that didn't have a sleeper, I have a feeling I'd be fairly content. I wouldn't want to rock that boat. Even if I couldn't fall asleep anywhere, anytime, I would find a way to have done it...

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

That is very handy if that is in fact the way it is, and I hope it is not.... 'yes, come with all your credentials and proper vehicle, and sign up for training, but no, we shall save the contract as a surprise to be shared once you commit all that time, money and travel to arrive for said...

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

You can be deemed to be as independent as you like but you may not have many customers or the ability to maintain a viable business if your customer services skills do not include keeping your customer satisfied with your service. I don't know if it is the same in the USA, but if a business...

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

If the carrier is going to take on a team that doesn't have a sleeper, and can't carry 2 skids AND a place for the co to sleep, then you're right, it's no better than a solo.. so why is the carrier offering a team run which would require a sleeper? ...

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

Perhaps I misunderstood... I took it to mean the team had told the carrier in advance.

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

Did Pookie say 'out of service', or 'out of a job/lease'? Nevermind.... I see what I missed... sorry about your luck Pookie.

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

First, I'm wondering how the people here know what Pookie's contract with his/her carrier states exactly. How do people know that everyone's contract is exactly the same and that nobody ever negotiates any changes for themselves individually? The carrier entered into a contract with 'the...

FedEx Custom Critical ???? Are they what they say they are??

Keyword = could You absolutely could. Big difference between 'could' and 'will'. Define the word 'make'. To some it is gross revenue to the truck. To others it is net income after all expenses. Nobody call tell you what you can hope to 'make' because there are too many variables, too...

this may be a dumb question

Did you post a free ad on the classified section here on EO? Have you read through posts to see if anyone might be seeking a driver or co-driver? There is always the possibility of getting a driving job of some kind with any number of different types of companies until you can save up for a...

    Heading out into the unknown.....

Positive feedback for what? -finally getting a ride, which 'as far as you know', is a standard sprinter, meaning no sleeper, which you will pick up on Thursday, and in which you 'hope' to be dispatched shortly thereafter? -or your ability to ask for tips, time savers, what to take, what is...

I can't take the looser losers anymore!

I believe that everyone has some kind of learning disability(ies) of some sort, and for many it is in the written language department. Learning disabilities aren't an indication of intelligence or lack thereof. (Has anyone ever known a person with multiple PhDs who failed miserably in the social...

    New York Permits

This thread is a perfect example of the misinformation that abounds within the trucking industry in general, and the fact that it's really not as simple as some will jump up and down insisting that it is. I'm glad that you know there is something you don't know, and know that it is in your best...

    Choosing the most versatile vehicle?

You are headed in the right direction in getting your info from different carriers, and comparing their packages. There is no existing spreadsheet (that I am aware of), but there is no reason why you can't create your own, and plug in some hypothetical load details to see how each works out in...
