    I would advise investing your time in getting established in a non-trucking job as a back up first. Background checks aren't going to be good to you. If you can get into over the road trucking with your background, it will be after your history becomes old history. eb

    When I was in my Freightliner M2 I never went below 10.5 mpg. I drove 60 mph max. Team drivers drove 9.5 at best and they drove as fast as they could make the truck go. eb

    Mr. Elliott, How do you manage communications with the drivers? Not so much the day to day operational communications, but getting the word out kind of thing, getting feedback kind of thing. Newsletters, a drivers web, or facebook? I'm just curious how other people run their businesses. eb

    To get from the west to the east, I call dispatch and tell them I am deadheading up to Portland to see an old friend I haven't seen in ages. If they believe me, I get a load east. Out of service, Dallas. And I got here with a load from Cleveland. eb
