Dude: do you eat everything you kill? The Zatarain's is just cause I like the smell of it, but even when it's crab & shrimp 'berling', I don't eat the stuff - yechh! I'd rather have a nice grilled cheese sandwich, thank you. :)

just in case there was any doubt

That's very cool! But I hope I'm never close enough to your back door to read it in traffic, lol. ;)

    Typos and stupidity

I once watched a worker in a cafeteria making the letterboard sign put "brockley" on it. I told him that's not how broccoli is spelled, and he was indignant - he said "I should know: I live on that street!" Ya just can't fix stupid, lol. ;)

    Looking for a better carrier

It has to do with trying to find the reasons for needing more vans every day, when the general consensus is that there are too many already. Large turnover is generally an indication of a company that would rather replace people than address their complaints/issues/problems, whatever is making...

I75 South closed in Cincinnati, Hopple St overpass collapsed...

I just went through there 2 days ago, and as a driver, I'm getting pretty angry at the ways Congress and states keep ignoring the sorry state of necessary infrastructure. Our lives depend on these things!

I'm really looking forward to this one!

Addicting Info ? Pope Francis Says He Wants To Address Joint Session Of Congress, Republicans Should Be Terrified It's gonna be real, lol. If anyone had told me a couple years ago that I would truly admire a Catholic Pope, I wouldn't have believed it - but I truly admire this one.

Love The One You're With - And Marry Them

Oh, I understand the point you were hoping to make, [the 'slippery slope'], I just chose not to address it, as it's ridiculous - not worth getting in a fuss about. Fearmongering scare tactics, is all it is. Allowing gays to marry will not break down all the rules, opening marriage to people and...

    January Locations & Witty Repartee

Re: January Locations & Witty Repartee Sniper is not a movie that appeals to me, but it reminded me to check out what's showing on Imax, cause there's a couple in & around Cleveland, and I have to be there Fri anyhow. So far, I've only seen 'Everest", but it made a serious impression - an...

Don't got a jacuzzi, or a 98" sleeper, and if I did, and found any "hot chicks" in it, they'd be hotter than they wanna be, and I'd be smiling angelically, as I sprinkle in the Zatarains, lol.

That explains why I'm unfamiliar with all the bells & whistles, lol, cause it would need a team to support that kind of outlay, and I don't wanna go there. I was just poking Bruno for his "drivers don't know or care how tough it is for fleet owners" shtick. ;)

    January 2015

I've done a couple residential deliveries, no problems either. The ones that gave me pause were to a motel room, and a storage unit, lol, and they both were fine too. It keeps life interesting, and I kind of like that. ;)

Love The One You're With - And Marry Them

You "can't help but notice the irony", eh? One couple, as opposed to enough to create a stereotype, and you just gloat, as if it balances everything out. I'm not fond of the stereotype, [my Dad was born & raised in WV, and I still have family there], but it became a stereotype for good reasons...

    Canned corn final answer

If you'd said a person will never hurt themselves by getting more education, I'd agree - but a degree isn't the smartest way to do it, if it isn't going to put you where you want to be. I'm assuming we're talking a BA, or such, as in "college degree", not the vocational kind, like HVAC, because...

    Canned corn final answer

I'm a firm believer in "use what you got", and while cans of corn [are peas ok?] may not be the optimal defense weapon, they'd absolutely be better than no weapon. Especially if a couple of them hit the target. Actually, if the star pitcher connected with one, that might be all that's needed.

    Glass cleaner

Ditto on the Sprayway, which is getting easier to find now than it used to be. And here's a nifty tip I learned from professional cleaners: when cleaning both sides of glass, use vertical swipes on one side, horizontal on the other. Makes it easy to see which side any pesky streaks are on. :)

    Medical card 2nd opinions

I'm confused about the long form statement, as more than one roadside inspector has demanded to see my long form medical cert. - sure didn't feel as if I have any privacy! Every attempt to get a DOT physical being reported would be just as effective as creating a registry of approved docs...

Fuel is going down, but the taxes aren't, and neither is the cost of living, and the rates haven't risen to offset the increases, either. If we don't get more compensation when numerous costs go up, why should we get less because one cost is not? Especially when the FS will decline to compensate...

    Medical card 2nd opinions

Yep - because some drivers falsified their cards, we all have to use DOT approved docs, which means I can't use the doc I trust, who has been taking care of me for years, and knows everything about me. Great idea, huh? Why not just pull the license of anyone caught without a valid and...

    Canned corn final answer

One can get some degrees [Divinity comes to mind] simply by mailing the requisite amount of money to the requisite address - just sayin. But who alleged that degrees equal intelligence, anyhow? Oh - never mind.

    Medical card 2nd opinions

Bottom line is that it's about liability, and if that's not an insurance concept, what is? I have searched for the threads/posts I remember stating that carrier requirements are passed on from insurance requirements, without any luck. ['Search' is a bad idea for an ADD person, lol, because I...
