    UD Cabover Sleeper Expediter?

If it is the one I am thinking of he is based out of South Carolina and has been with FedEx CC for a long time. FedEx CC will allow a truck to stay in the fleet as long as it passes the yearly visual inspection. I recently met a team driving a 1997 KW that was still looking good.

    What's Laredo like?

No big social events. Drivers mostly ask how long you been here? And then try to figure a way to get out before you. Most of the freight goes north. Sent from my EVO using EO Forums

    What went wrong ?

After driving out west for 6 weeks we took our straight truck into our local shop for some alignment and tire work. We had one bent rim, one cupping tire, one loose spring hanger, 2 loose you bolts and 14 other loose bolts. The alignment was way out. While out there we lost 6 bolts out of our...

    Roughest Stretch of Road!

We dread the whoop de doo overpass on I95 N right lane in Virginia. I think it is around MM30. Feels like the truck is going to fly off the road.

    What is the Perfect Load?

I think a perfect load is one that you pick up and deliver on time, pays more than your rate, has clear skies, good roads and no traffic back ups. It should also go to a good freight area and while driving there should be no accidents, law enforcement stops, DOT inspections, break downs or...

    On the right track?

If you get a class A but decide to drive a straight truck now it may be hard to find a company that will sign you on later to drive a TT. Most companies want recent verifiable tractor trailer experience or they will start you out as a rookie trainee and your time driving a straight won't count...

    Stupid new signs

Ours are holding up just fine. We use Blue Beacon and have them brush the box every time. We also have the full vinyl wrap on the box.

    Steer tires

We have the Bridgestone R280's. We have had a lot of problems with edge wear and cupping. I do not recommend them.

    Coast to coast am

My wife uses the Sirius and listens to a lot of different programming. I prefer the sound of the road and motor humming. And listening to the little voices inside my head.

Changes to Deadhead to Planned Layover

From the April 5th, 2013 Fleet Bulletin: "FedEx Custom Critical will be making changes to the way it offers deadhead to planned layover (DHPL) options. Currently, the company offers DHPL options under which it compensates contractors to the exact center point of an Express Center. Starting...

How to successfully defend your family from intruders...

Is TRI-STATE RUNNING or are they SITTING like MOST Carriers?

I think there would be a lot less sitting if the carriers that are so willing to lease on everyone with a van and drivers license would take the time to look at how much business they do and balance the number of vehicles more closely with their needs. Having a van on every corner is great if...

    Hazmat - Transponders - Ohio

My wife renewed her CDL 7 weeks ago and has still not received her new license with the HAZMAT endorsement. She did get a letter stating everything passed, but Florida is backed up in issueing them. Sent from my EVO using EO Forums
