I say the father did take the easy way out in the way he dealt with it. History will show us I guess since he's now created a star of himself (knowing full well this would go viral). I wouldn't be surprised if that gun and a big news story pops up again in this family's future, one way or another.

It's easy for the sending unit to get gummed up in this weather and show low pressure at idle. I just hady changed. If pressure shows normal at highway speed I wouldn't worry about it (check your dipstick though).
