OMG I shoulda slept in the van!

Don't know about Motel 6, [but they lie anyhow: they've never left the light on for me], but CLC has Days Inn, and that's pretty close, I think.

    Marco Rubio steps in it.

It pertained to you because you posted the comment that was cryptic [aka cowardly] and did not respond to the issue. It's the Republicans who are eliminating both Planned Parenthood and every abortion provider they can. That won't eliminate abortion [which is a legal right], it will only make...

I am saying, not suggesting, that they are creating roadblocks and obstacles [not just with photo ID, but with early & absentee voting, same day registration, etc] that make it more difficult to vote. In the absence of credible [or any] evidence that voter fraud is a problem, they must have...

    Greasytshirt's Shirt

I went to a job interview once for a vending machine company, and I promised if hired, I wouldn't wear my favorite t shirt, the one that says "Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine." The interviewer offered me a job on the spot, lol. :D

And try to resist the easy puns, too. :p

True, Republicans always propose the laws that restrict voters, but how much better are the Democrats that go along?

    School lunches

"Michelle" is not responsible for that sad creation, and whatever food service person is should be fired. It is not that hard to make lunches that are nutritious and that kids will eat, really. Or do you think they should just be given what they "will" eat? The biggest part of the battle is...

No idea how many don't have a photo ID, but there are a LOT who don't cash checks [ they work for cash or barter], have no bank account, don't work for anyone who needed to see it. If anyone's "pretending", it's those who pretend that there exists enough voter fraud to require ID laws, when...

Can't figure out how an online dictionary works? OK: cryptic: hidden, unclear [which people? what lies?] Non responsive: did not address the points made.

Agree that you can't fix stupid, and would include cryptic nonresponsive comments in the category of 'can't be fixed', myself. Alinsky wasn't the only one, you know. We still keep hearing about 'job creators', tax cuts for business produce jobs, etc, and some people believe the lies.

OMG I shoulda slept in the van!

I don't know if it's better as in cheaper, but even at a net gain of $4.00, [or a break even price, once CLC adds the $4.95 fee that is their only charge, ever] it's still a better choice bc of the 24 hr checkout. I checked in at 2000, and if I had to leave at 1100 or 1200, I'd spend the...

Couldn't have proven my point any better, lol. When you don't like what you hear [and I mean the generic you, not Barkley in particular] just dismiss it with a derogatory comment. Ignore the fact that millions of others agree with the comment, and assume they don't vote for you because you need...

That Bible in your van or truck, imagine that.

Have to agree. Not bc one can access the Bible, one can access Grimm's Fairy Tales, too, and/or anything ever written, and I think that's a smart thing. It's stupid bc it keeps changing my favorite acronyms [ETA, OMW] to something incomprehensible, lol.

3 years in prison for driving fatigued

Thanks, John, for getting the point I was trying to make: the assumption that a driver operating outside HOS is fatigued, while one who is within the legal HOS is not. I believe the one-size-fits-all philosophy of the HOS is actually counterproductive in that respect.

OMG I shoulda slept in the van!

Perfect time for a bump, lol, as I'm in a motel right now. I believe I have LDB to thank for sharing info on CLC [Corporate Lodging], which is the best program for drivers and fleet owners - thanks, Leo! The reason it's best for fleet owners is cost control: nothing but the room can be charged...

Tom Morello [guitarist for the band Rage Against The Machine] summed up the Republican disconnect perfectly, when he heard Paul Ryan was a fan. "I wonder which of our songs are perfect for jamming out at the Young Republican's Club? Don't get me wrong, I get that Ryan has rage: against women...

3 years in prison for driving fatigued

And sometimes, we do it well within the legal HOS, too. There's no earthly way to ensure that any driver uses good judgement.

Which EOL member would you vote for to be President of the USA?

[Canadian] Scott, because if you can do pithy, you can do anything, lol. Also to prove we don't hold Justin Bieber against them - too much. ;)
