not sure if this is right spot for question

nightcreacher said " but c-link doesnt put you under low bridges" Yes it does :-( When we were with FedEx, we had a run that took us to an 11'9'' bridge..luckily with a straight truck it wasn't such an issue with getting around it..if we'd have been dragging a 53ft trailer, that wouldn't have...

Count your blessings, don't sweat the small stuff

RE: Count your blessings, don't sweat the small st Please accept my condolences on the passing of your friend. Sometimes it takes an event like this to make us stop and think. Thank you for the reminder.

    NY's overpass Height signs

If the sign says anything close to 13'6" we don't trust it. Of course after we've been through an area and "know" that the sign might be incorrect that's a different story. What's amazing to me is how many drivers don't "see" the signs. How the heck does a driver peel off the top of a...

    Mistake

We bought one of the Black and Decker under the counter pots too....big mistake. We now use two 2qt Stanley Thermos's. They keep coffee hot for 24 hours. [link:www.stanley-pmi.com/shop/product_detail.aspx?ProductID=6|STANLEY]

I think that's called a "bad ping" Recently we've been getting a "vehicle inspection message" Evidently, it was a glitch in the system, and we were suppose to be getting this message all the time. We called about it, because there are questions on this form that don't apply to a straight...

    Road Rage Article

Before I became a "professional driver" I made a road trip to Albuquerque, NM by myself. They were doing road construction through one of the western states on I-40 (can't remember which one) Anyway, before the construction areas they would, for example, close the right lane, then about a mile...

    Drivers Solutions and Expedite Solutions

I wouldn't pay a school to get a CDL-B. Study the book from DMV. If your husband has driven for 20 years then he can teach you the practical side of trucking. If you're getting into expediting you will need the Hazmat endorsement because Hazmat is a bulk of our freight. Good Luck

    running money

This may be totally off base here, but here goes. We drive for an owner, and he pays for the fuel, we will pay the tolls, maintenance etc, and he reimburses us. We never take advances! We run the loads, and when the PRO pays, we get paid. This may not work for others, but it works great for...

    Question to the ladies

Coco, I had to laugh when I read your post. I also stack my jeans, least favorite on the bottom. Why is it, when you buy the same brand, same size, and same color...they all don't fit the same?? For the most part, there's no worry about what is worn as long as it matches, and it's clean and...
