    Weird Road signs

A couple of years ago my hubby & I delivered a water pump to a coal mine in West Virgina. Along one of the back roads (more like a cow path) there was an old, beat up car with this homemade sign: " fUR SALE". Down the road a bit, there was another house with 2 beat up cars and this sign:"2 FUR...

OK, I know that Easter is still a couple of weeks away but I was wondering what you all are doing for Easter this year....will you be home, on the road, on vacation, where? We will actually be home this year. I will make a big ham dinner with all the trimmings and invite any truckers who...

    Hey Mr. Expediter.....

The question, Tennesseahawk, should be: what HAS Hillary done for NY? The answer: NOTHING! She had one agenda from the get go and that was to get elected senator so that she could run for president. I've met her in person several times and I definately wasn't impressed whatsoever.

    Hey Mr. Expediter.....

I'd take Hillary. I'd take her for a run on Rt 86 from Horseheads, NY all the way to Erie, PA and drive in the right lane about 65MPH. That stretch of road is so horrible and bumpy that it'll knock you right out of the seat. She really stunk as our senator and didn't do a thing for NY so I...

Reply from Pilot Corporation - Shower Procedures

Ok, maybe I'm a germaphobic but I always take a small bottle of disinfectant with me whenever I have to take a shower in ANY truckstop. I also ask for an extra towel and just like TURTLE said, I use it for a bathmat.

    Info For A Tri-state Company!!!!!!!!

One thing I can tell you about tstate is this: if you're not sure of or don't like the area you're sitting in, you can contact your CC and they'll bonus you out of the area into a better freight lane. My truck has done that a time or two. In expedite (no matter who the company is you're on with)...

    Info For A Tri-state Company!!!!!!!!

I have a straight truck on with tri-state that's doing really well. Tri-state has been running them well and keeping them pretty busy. We also like the way tri-state treats ALL the drivers and owners, which is with respect and dignity. By any chance, did you try taking your concerns to your CC?

    2006 Hino

I have several of the 6 speed HINO's and absolutely love them. They are holding up great and haven't had anything seriously go wrong with them. Fantastic warranty too. Don't know anything about the automatics: sorry!

    Question for Hino Owners

We own several Hino's and don't have a problem with power going up hills. In fact, my Hino's have more power than my Sterling ever thought of having.

    daul careerists

I have a paralegal degree so in my "spare" time, I help other owners to write their contracts and do other stuff like that. I love to write and have been working on a book about our experiences on our life on the road. It'll never be on the best seller list but that's ok. Just seeing it in...

    SIX MONTHS OF GROSS INCOME..........

We certainally don't have 6 or even 3 months income saved up but we do have enough on hand at all times to take care of any repairs and maintenance that our trucks need or for any "emergencies" that may come up. We just don't consider deadheading 2400 miles home for christmas an emergency.

I WANT TO PICK YOUR BRAIN

THANKS for all your responses so far!! My truck is a "C" straight truck on with FECC. The guys got a little lucky this morning: got a load going to Tuscon,AZ. That's still almost 2400 miles from home but it's still closer than they were this morning. Like I said in my original post, my guys...

I WANT TO PICK YOUR BRAIN

Ok, I tried to think of a catchy subject title and this was the best I could do on what little sleep I've had. I do have a serious question for all of you: What do you think the odds of a team truck getting a load outta Sacramento,CA between now and Saturday heading east (preferrably to NY)...

    EAST COAST STORM

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up if you're unfortunate enough to have to come to the NY,PA,MA,NJ area today. For once, the weatherman was correct in predicting that we'll get hammered with a snow storm today. The NYS thruway (I90) and all the interstate roads are a horrible mess (forget...
