First off.....are you sure this "friend" of yours is telling you the truth? Secondly, this sounds like a discounted load to me...which is NOT unusual .My own trucks occassionally haul discounted loads for both TRI-STATE and for FECC. Thirdly: do you and your "friend" know all the FACTS in...

Tri-State has had a cap on vans for quite awhile now. yes, they have had addded vans a little at a time before but now they've opened the gates....

Tri-State has opened the gates and is now putting vans on starting Monday. This makes me feel that freight is going to pick up even better/faster than it has been going so far.

Freight must be picking up because TRI-STATE has unlocked the gates and are now adding more vans starting on Monday. I wonder if the other expedite companies will follow suit?

The guy is telling you the truth. I've had to go thru it with drivers that I've had from NC in the past. It doesn't matter to the state that the drivers are "independant contractors"....they still have to carry workman's comp ins.
