Vet May Lose 'Honorable' Status Over Protest

Bravo Zulu Aviator. Reason and regulations beat emotions every time. I still think there is more to the Cpl Kokesh story than has been reported in the press. Those folks had to have been acting or speaking in a manner to come to the attention of the military.

Vet May Lose 'Honorable' Status Over Protest

Perhaps I wasn't clear. As a civilian, Koresh has the right to peaceful assembly at an anti-political rally. As a member of the military, albeit IRR, Cpl Koresh does not have that right. At least that's the way it was during my military career.

Vet May Lose 'Honorable' Status Over Protest

The facts seem to be that Cpl Kokesh is still a Marine until the expiration of his IRR status and he was wearing his Marine Corps issued uniform during a protest in Washington. It also is reported that he and a group of similarly clad veterans were portraying a military manuever during a...

I, for one, am looking forward to the skills challenge. I will probably shine in the freight fingerprint event, placard application derby, creative logging, and the fleet message ignore-a-thon.

    gas van operators, operating cpm

LDB: I know I gave you more than you were asking for, but your question is rather vague for anyone to give you an answer you'd likely find useful. Are you thinking of a $15,000 bare bones chevy or a $40,000 Sprinter? Used without warranty or new with warranty? Extended warranty?

    gas van operators, operating cpm

Every van O/O will have different figures due to different sources of supply, and styles of outfitting and operating their van and their business. My business, less meals only, costs 42 cents per mile. I base this on van and outfitting purchase cost, finance charges, a forecast 5 years of use...

RE: What companys pay the most per mile, and inclu RW: My clarification wasn't clear. When FedEx announced their new FSC payment plan last year, it drew critisism from many of the O/Os who were skeptical of their motives. I think the carrier's FSC is fair to all that realize that Independent...

    How To Drive In Jersey

Sage advice from the internet: How To Drive In Jersey 1. You must first learn to pronounce the city name, it is New-erk not New-ark. (actually, its pronounced NORK) 2.. The morning rush hour is from 5:00 a.m. to noon. The evening rush hour is from noon to 7:00 p.m. Friday's rush hour...

    Wi-Fi alert

Greg: The open safe door doesn't entitle you to the contents; and, apparently, an open privately owned wi-fi net doesn't entitle you to unlimited access. Thus spake Michigan Law. I agree with your second paragraph, but I think, in the future, I'll be a bit more cautious in my hot-spot use.

    Five Pointed Stars

    Who’s your daddy?

The name on a birth certificate does not necessarily indicate paternity; the name is often that chosen by the birth mother. A case in point is the Anna Nicole Smith situation where the name was the wrong father but the local law sided with the birth certificte entry. In the case of the twins...

RE: What companys pay the most per mile, and inclu There's quite a bit more to consider other than which carrier pays the most per mile. Average deadhead, average loaded miles per month, accessorial charges back to the O/O, availability of group insurance plans for vehicle and drivers, FSC...
