Germany bans the internal combustion engine

That would be a silver lining...I'm actually worried they'll stop improving the diesel vans in favor of the silly electrics though Can you imagine adding 1000 lbs of battery and running out after 300 miles? o_O

hitch mounted swing arm cargo carrier

Man you just blew my mind. Is that pegboard in the sides? Such a simple way to organize off the floor... Ok I zoomed in :D but I got the idea from the pic because I thought I saw it...its pegboard or track for me, I can change the layout every day if I want :D

Germany bans the internal combustion engine

So this just in...Germany has voted to ban the internal combustion engine by 2030 (13 years from now) seems likely they've solved the sprinter problem I don't expect North America to follow, but it has interesting consequences to the rest of the world if the EU follows...we're all mostly...

    Promaster diesel?

3050. Weighed at government scale. It all goes out the window with insulating the van, or having ANYTHING in it...(including maybe a full tank of diesel :D) To browsing newbies, after I threw my stuff back in and weighed in was 388 lbs more (tools mostly and spare tire) so that only works from...

    Promaster diesel?

I know my minimums now...company says 162 inches long, 71 inches high, 53 between wheelwells and 3000 lb capacity (anybody with a 162" long Promaster? If not guess I'm buying a Transit) For all talking about weight, I took 3011 in my 2005 sprinter and it was completely fine...23.5 MPG as I was...

    Ford Transit question.

I've decided that I have to go van shopping with a tape measure, those body up fitter pdfs don't match up with what you guys are saying the finished vans are. At least I know my minimums now...company says 162 inches long, 71 inches high, 53 between wheelwells and 3000 lb capacity (anybody with...

    Promaster diesel?

Good to hear about the reliability...the diesels seem to be fixed up too, software updates, there's a lack of problems reported in the Promaster forum lately My first set lasted about 200,000 then the next set half that, I'm convinced they cheapened the build

    DPF delete ?!?!

I live there too http://www.airqualityontario.com/downloads/FS_Smog Patrol_June2006.pdf Saw 2 sprinters being disassembled by the Newcastle area inspection station this summer, MoE and MTO present. Of course that was the first and only time ever I didn't pull in and say hi but MoE wasn't there...

    DPF delete ?!?!

Depends where...Ontario will soon be moving to the same electronic testing they do for cars, non factory mods will be caught at ECU They have drive by equipment that will catch you on the highway, notably Colorado (rapid pass?) Big fines. Not to say that's right now it's not a 1 in a million...

Sample DPF delete pipe for 3.0 Sprinter Mercedes Sprinter Van DPF Delete Pipe - 3.0L V6 - 2010-2016 - BuzzKen OFF ROAD USE ONLY!! :D Programming I haven't found, it should be fairly simple to have it not send requests to regen if not plugged...but there may be a forced regen after a certain...

    DPF delete ?!?!

Well so far that's a vote to delete ;) thank you for that (i would have rigged it to burn down overnight at the dealership) I think I can fix the Promaster / Transit systems, I know I can't fix the Sprinters Interestingly enough, Mercedes provides the adblue tech for the Promaster / Fiat but...

    DPF delete ?!?!

Huh? Sprinter? (Edit: looked up your profile and it says sprinter) Is the emissions warranty not unlimited mileage on the parts? Is that's labor?

    Promaster diesel?

You're my Guinea pig :D you've already got all I imagined a gas 6 cylinder to be good for...if you keep driving it without blowing up I'll definitely have to adjust my attitudes

    DPF delete ?!?!

Been looking myself, but just for the future my 2005 has the DPF delete :D What van? Truck? They're great if you know what you're doing, but the dealer will no longer touch it (by law) and it won't pass emissions in a lot of places...if you don't keep it in a reversible state, it's up to $6000...

    Promaster diesel?

I've had enough loads to know I'll need the capacity. My sprinter's full front to back and top to bottom at least once a week. I think it would be useful for us to post model and actual dimensions somewhere...i know there's drivers out there who have no idea, like the Sprinter driver who...

    Boo ... its October

This is retirement for me. I worked a decade straight of 70-90 hour weeks before expediting, this is my reward...if they come out with the self drivers I'm still going along for the ride. Get back in the van :D
