    Texting and driving deaths

That would eliminate passenger's ability too. I don't know if all smartphones have the ability, but mine has a "driving mode". Maybe teenager's phones/tablets should be automatically sent to "driving mode", whenever the phone moves faster than 5mph. And, their parents should teach their teens...

    Honey

It is also a good replacement for jelly. Peanut butter and honey, instead of jelly.

    Honey

Where you get honey makes a big difference in taste. I get " local " honey in Clanton,AL. Most of our local honey comes from bees that spend their life in the peach orchards. Yum! It is great in oatmeal!

    Freeze Oatmeal

I usually make instant oatmeal in the microwave. If I have it on hand, I'll cut up an apple and add raisins and cinnamon to the oatmeal. Then cook it all together.

$1.00 here a $1.75 here and so on...

The $1 direct scan fee, per load, applies regardless of truck stop scan or in truck scan. And $1.75 + $1 for direct deposit each week.

$1.00 here a $1.75 here and so on...

Each week, I leave enough fuel money on my settlement card for the next week . Then deposit the rest. This way, I avoid all the load fees. The direct scan fees and direct deposit fee are all that is left.

Would you encourage your children to become truck drivers?

I have a nephew that is 20 something, he wanted to follow in his Uncle's footsteps, and be a truck driver. He went school, got his CDL, and started driving for a company. He found that it wasn't for him. All the while, I did not discourage him from being a truck driver, in fact, I encouraged him...

    Settlement Confusion

Every time I have had to call headquarters with a question, they have all been patient, helpful and understanding. Every one, in all of the departments I have dealt with, have gone out of their way to answer all of my questions.

    Morgan dry box

I just replaced it with new LED light, it is staying. Also, regulation says there should be one. http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/content/39311 I got a citation for a non working tag light about 15 years ago. When I tapped it, it came on, but DOT still wrote up the citation.

    Morgan dry box

I've never had one stolen. And mine sits below dock height and is tucked under the frame a bit. On a side note about a REAR tag light. I'm not sure why it is even required when Illinois requires the one tag issued to be on the FRONT. Yet a non working rear tag light can still get you a citation.

Before I had the blown fuse, I had been replacing a burned out tag light every few weeks. I thought it was just cheap bulbs and rough roads causing the burned out bulbs. If anyone has a similar issue with a tag light burning out regularly, I would suggest replacing the whole light assembly, not...
