    Shocking Update

I am wondering the same thing as I had not heard of torque specs on shocks only of overzealous mechanics and air tools! Phil I did not mean you did not change your shocks regularly, it was an idea for many who have not changed their shocks at all or not changed them on a regular interval.

A serious discussion - safety and CLink

In the back of my mind I am wondering if that QC message is considered part of a weekly safety meeting that we are required to have? When with USX the safety messages were just as brilliant and we were lucky enough to receive one just about every day but weekends. One beep meant fleet message...

To Lock or Not To Lock . . .

When times where better we as an Express truck would leave a WG lock or Customer lock on us but not anymore. We want all loads opps we can get so as soon as we see a lock on us we call in and ask that the lock be removed.

    Kitchen Kettle multicooker/steamer by Presto

I had not thought of the grip shelf liner to use under the Kettle. I have all my shelves in the truck lined with that stuff and it really helps to keep stuff from moving around.

    Shocking Update

One you start changing your shocks at a regular interval you will find they are not nearly as hard to change as the first time you try.

    Kitchen Kettle multicooker/steamer by Presto

I looked at the Kitchen Kettle and I had a concern about if the outside gets hot? When Bob looked at the Kettle and the 1500 watts he got a little concerned. Poor guy thinks we need to haul around a huge power station! What I like about the rice cooker, Rocket Grill, and the crock pot is...

    Curtain advice please

That is funny Cheri! I like the Gray because so much goes with it. I have seen some of the sleepers that are done in colors and I wondered how I would coordinate. We use the truck curtains to keep a smaller area cool in the summer and warm in the summer. Last year we made window shades from...

    Intro TeamTLC, husband and wife

TeamTLC has been doing a lot of reading, a lot of research, and then attended MATS to also network with even more people. They are going into this with their eyes open and if anyone can make a go of it I believe these two can. They are as prepared as you can be to jump out here. To top all of...

    Random Drug Tests

I also had your attitude about OOIDA and finally figured out that griping to each other in not going to help. Now at least I call and I email and let them know how I feel. Maybe if more of us would do that we could get changes we want. As for drug testing it is part of this trucking world...

The "I HATE FEDEX CC" thread grrrrr grrrrr

Funny! I happen to like our uniforms and think they are pretty spiffy! Now if Bob did not have this uniform I beleive after our past week at the CMC he would be wearing slacks, button down shirt and a tie. Kick up our appearance a notch. Glad we have uniforms and I do not have to go tie...

The "I HATE FEDEX CC" thread grrrrr grrrrr

I tend to put FedEx policy threads in the FedEx forum so the information that needs to be shared is not diluted by posters who are not with FedEx. As long as the thread is in the FedEx forum new people reading that thread will know that only contractors with FedEx are posting. When there is a...

    Attitude is everything . . .

We work very hard to keep a good attitude and if we do not like the way something is run we try to change the problem at the source not just complain about it. We get involved if we do not like something and that has really led us to some interesting places. Once we have moved on from a...

The Absolute Importance of Doing Our Job Well

This was given to me from Henry Albert who wears a tie everyday as a truck driver to promote an image. He has his own authority so his customers are his business. He has carried this bulletin with him for 18 years as a reminder of who he is and what image he wants to portray. KNIGHTS OF THE...

    Freightliner Innovation Truck

I really like that idea as I just cannot get my head around the thoughts of looking at the dash instead of to the right and left.
