    The Value of a Picture

I thought the following was very good information and information I hope none of us ever have to use: Baldwin & Lyons , The Quill August 2011 issue: The Value of a Picture We have all heard that a picture is worth a thousand words. If taken correctly, a picture from the scene of a vehicle...

WIT - why the scare tactic ?

Moose article was better then expected... Voie said she believes it's getting safer for women on the road "as more of the male population become sensitive to issues women face on the road". Men are stepping up where a women might need a safe "neighbor" in the parking lot or on the loading...

Easy way to take off signs?

We wash our truck approximately once a week and usually at a Blue Beacon and the signs were still there looking good. After six years the signs were just starting to have small hair line cracks in them. The easiest less pain in your arm and fingers would be to pay to have the signs removed...

Easy way to take off signs?

This is how we took our FedEx Signs off the old truck and it worked pretty well. We removed the signs when it was very cold (snowing) and without the heat gun we would probably still be working on the lettering. We used the Goo Gone as well and our truck looked really good when we sold it. It...

Over 14,000 members in here ?

It is funny how drivers can choose to live in their own little private world or go opposite and be involved in a lot. That is part of the beauty of being a driver it is what we make it. I was talking with Kevin Rutherford here at the GATS truck show in the parking lot and the people we were...

Joe once again I will ask break down the .85 cents a mile? Was it all miles to pay? How did the actual load pay? How many dead head from delivery to layover miles were there? How any miles from layover to pickup were there? I agree the load would be horrible but in reality are the...

    FedEx expedite going down ?

leezaback I have not seen a load like you describe even for a van. Are you in a van? Does the amount you say include dhpl, dhpu, run and fuel surcharge? I am curious to what the actual run paid and what the weight is for the load? It seems like a bad quote or possibly sent out wrong.

    Expediter Services leaving E-1

Re: OOPs, Typo-s I have thought about this post and I have thought back over the years of drivers I have talked with. There are no complaints about the company, they pay on time, they answer the phones, they give guidance when needed, their loads are available to the driver to make a...
