The GymSlim Company has announced the release of The Truck Gym.
GymSlim states that it is a unique exercise tool designed for the professional truck driver. Working out on the Gym offers the short-term benefit of keeping drivers alert for hours, according to the company.
The easily assembled, adjustable metal frame fits around the driver or passenger seat in the semi cab. The Truck Gym is designed for a complete upper body workout for biceps, triceps, back, shoulders, chest and stomach.
The compact design and convenient location, says the company, make it easy to exercise while taking a break, watching TV or waiting to be unloaded.
The Truck Gym is packaged with complete installation instructions, an exercise guide, health and diet tips and rebate coupons worth up to a 100% refund.
The GymSlim Company is a new firm established in the fall of 2002. The company is built around this new, patented product. It is a privately held business located in southeast Michigan and was founded by two brothers, Gary and Bryan Turnbull.
The Gym was inspired by Bryan while driving a truck. He sold Gary on the concept and together they designed, tested and refined the product.

Better running engines through chemistry
With the EPA mandating cleaner Diesel emissions, fuel continually moving upward in price, maintenance and repair costs always increasing, and fuel varying in quality, the time has come to introduce TK-7SCF to the owner/operators, says BND Automotive, distributors of a variety of fuel treatment products.
The company says that its TK-7SCF Super gasoline catalyst will increase gasoline efficiency by 9.9%, with a synthetic upper cylinder lubricant reducing friction and lowering head temperatures. It cleans combustion chambers and conditions fuel systems.
According to BND's research, maintenance costs are virtually eliminated by reducing cylinder wear 600%. It results in dramatically cleaner emissions with an average fuel savings of 12%.
The company states that TK-704HS SCF Diesel catalyst simultaneously raises cetane number and btu power levels. They say that this results in 50% lower exhaust emission pollutants, increased fuel mileage 10-15% on average, and cleaner combustion chambers.
It produces a synthetic upper cylinder lubricant for injector pumps and injectors, lowers head temperatures, and conditions fuel systems. Maintenance costs are virtually eliminated by reducing cylinder wear 600%. Pour point is -17 degrees below 0, while providing a full biocide/fungicide.
Treatment of gasoline is economical with 1 ounce of the product treating 6 gallons. A 128 ounce/gallon treats 768 gallons of gasoline for only $85.00 per gallon. That's only .11 cents per gallon.
Treatment of Diesel fuel is also economical with 1 ounce treating 15 gallons. A 128 ounce/gallon treats 2000 gallons of Diesel for only $85.00 per gallon. That's .0425 per gallon.

Keeping it cool
Espar of Michigan, the "Idle Reduction Specialists", is now featuring two lines of independent, electrically driven air conditioning systems:
The Bergstrom NITE System - an under-the-bunk mounted system with a 3,000 BTU/hr output and the "DC Airco System", a rooftop mounted system that has a 9,000 BTU/hr output.
According to Ray Lawrence, President of Espar of Michigan, because these systems are electrically driven, they do not utilize any of the on board fuel, nor do they need any outside engines to power them, unlike their alternatives, the Auxiliary Power Units or the Generator Sets.
Espar of Michigan says that these units' benefits includes:
Increased fuel savings all year long. Reduced maintenance costs and increased life of the engine from reduced idling. Complies with anti-idle laws, improving industry image. Easy to install and does not interfere with OEM systems or warranties.Specifications
Cooling Output - 9,000-10,000 BTU/hr
Voltage - 12 or 24VDC
System Power - 430 watts
Weight - 88.2 lbs

Keeping it clean
Waterless personal products are now available for the professional driver.
According to No Rinse Laboratories, the company is expanding their no-water concept to the trucking industry with two products: No Rinse Bathing Wipes and No Rinse Shampoo.
A package of No Rinse Bathing Wipes contains eight pre-moistened towels enriched with aloe and lanolin. No Rinse Shampoo is applied, worked into a lather, and then towel-dried.
No Rinse product users "can now get completely clean in minutes using no water and without leaving the truck," the company says.
No Rinse products have been "on every NASA space shuttle flight" and a testimonial page on the company web site has positive comments about the waterless products from military personnel.
