conway_driver.jpgFor the expediting driver, the road can be a lonely place.  Over the years, owner operators have petitioned their companies about allowing non-driving passengers to ride along in their truck.  Insurance liability, security issues, and professionalism with customers continue to be challenges to allowing riders in the truck.

But, Con-Way NOW determined that the quality of life for its owner operators far outweighed the other challenges and added this enhancement to their current program.

Lori Blaney, Manager of Recruiting for Con-Way NOW says, "Due to past feedback from our current PBO's and the ability to bring new people into our industry, Con-Way NOW has implemented a rider policy."

"We are always looking at ways to make our package more attractive to the Owner-Operator.   Implementing a rider policy is just one of the many perks an Owner-Operator would find with Con-Way NOW."
