Salute to the Women Behind the Wheel at MATS

One of the goals of Women In Trucking Association (WIT) is to celebrate the success of women in the industry. WIT is hosting the 2nd annual “Salute to the Women Behind the Wheel” at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, KY. The celebration begins at noon on Saturday, April 2.

Deborah Hersman, National Transportation Safety Board Chairman, will welcome drivers and assist in honoring those who have reached safety milestones. WIT will also take a photo of the professional female drivers and hope to beat the Guinness World Record of 416 set in the Netherlands in 2004.

All female drivers are invited to attend and can pre-register now at
www.salute2women.com . Their free t-shirts can be picked up at the Women
In Trucking booth #40565 in the North Wing Lobby atrium. Proof of Class
A or B commercial drivers license will be required. The first 600 female
drivers through the door at the “Salute to Women Behind the Wheel”
will receive a goodie bag filled with items provided by the sponsors.

Please spread the word to female drivers and include information about the
“Salute to Women Behind the Wheel” in your company newsletter or other
communication. This event will honor all professional female drivers, whether or not they are not members of our association.

WIT also extends an invitation to their members to attend this record breaking event and support these drivers. Women In Trucking members can receive a wristband for admittance to the event at our booth #40565 at MATS.
