Petro Honors Its Heritage on October 26

WESTLAKE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TravelCenters of America LLC, (TravelCenters), operator of Petro Stopping Centers® branded travel centers, has announced it will offer its famous chicken fried steak in its Petro Iron Skillet® Restaurants across the country for just $5.99 on October 26 in honor of Texas Chicken Fried Steak Day. The day was proclaimed by the Texas legislature in 2011 in honor of “that exceptional dish that elevates the hearty flavor of beef to new heights by coating it in batter and breading and frying it until the ingredients are melded in a blissful union.”

From 6 a.m. through 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, participating Petro Iron Skillet Restaurants will offer dine-in guests their choice of a chicken fried steak breakfast or dinner for just $5.99. The breakfast chicken fried steak meal will be served with two fresh eggs cooked any style, toast or biscuits and the choice of home fries, hash browns or grits. The dinner option will come with the Iron Skillet’s famous homemade mashed potatoes and gravy.
