I stopped at a 7-11 there one night and asked 2 detectives (who were investigating a robbery lol) for directions. After giving them, they advised me to roll through red lights and stop signs without stopping.
Hey, Guido, last time I was in Ontario, I just stopped at a wal-mart parking lot at midnight to get my things ready to take into the house and to stretch my legs. This little security car came right over to me and said I couldn't spend the night there. It was hilarious. That city has a bunch of rent-a-cops running around policing the streets in white cars with orange flashing lights. I just left and drove home.

Are you watching Titanic again? I already told you it stinks...
Returning to Compton and the LBC to see the place I used to stay at in 1999 is on my bucket list of places to see before I die. I gotta get that book Cheri. It sounds interesting.
I lived on Manchester and Elm street, in Compton during y2k. My frinend who is a mexican guy said that if a mob formed at midnight when all of the lights went out asking for the white guy inside the house, he was gonna have to turn me over to them. lol. Needless to say y2k never happened and I escaped the hood alive. I was stopped one night while walking home from the bus stop and two white cops couldn't believe that I lived there. They thought I was lost!

Now there is another hottie...And I'm not talking when she was 80, either!!!
Don't know if you are familiar with Phil Hendrie. He does a spoof radio show on which he impersonates fictitious guests and says outrageous things to rile up the audience. They then call in, outraged, and everybody who knows the joke laughs at the callers.LOL..all this compton stuff brings back memories...I have been there twice...the 1st time i spent the night at the North TA...was bothered 4 times and none of them were for anything good...the next time, i dropped and blew out without staying!!! But I did stop at a 7-11 and the security guard asked me "why are you here!?!?"....told him i wanted a slurpy..he told me to get it and leve asap..it as no place for a white guy from out of state....
I started dating Jeffman 17 months ago. 10 months ago he invited me along on my first expedite in his raised roof cargo van. I have gone along ever since. We found out by living in the van...eating, sleeping, setting up the bed every night, putting it away every morning, reading, watching tv, playing card games in 12 degree cold to 99 degree heat...that we really LIKE one another. Eating sandwiches we make everyday, coming up with off the wall conversation topics, and believe me, no hanky panky takes place in one of those. Never fight. Had a couple of tense discussions, lol...but we both had the sense to realize we could be out there another 2 weeks...just drop it and discuss it later.
The van was good for our relationship. It verified we are meant to be.
It was in a Home Depot parking lot after an all night drive and 6:30 am delivery on Long Island in late October that we told one another we loved each other. Then we got a 3 hour nap and a run to Tennessee.
Awwww...
