Many states require to inform an officer your carrying.

Glad I live in Georgia with probably one of the easiest and relaxed gun laws. They basically opened up the law book and redone the concealed carry laws a few years back. We can carry any where we want as long as its not government property where before they had a public gathering law where basically going to the store and a few people talking inside could be considered a public gathering. About to pass a law everyone can conceal carry without getting a license. Also about to pass a law anyone 18-21 can conceal also. Used to be 21+ years old.

Unfortunately, some states have that requirement, and unbelievably, some say the cop can disarm you if he pleases until he's done with you, even if you're not being detained or are even a suspect. They must push a wheelbarrow in front of them when they walk.

Name one country where you are totally free?.....The US was never ever totally free of some kind of Gov interference....
Now I am talking the whole whack here....Building codes, zoning by-laws ...you've always had some sort of rule where you've been told what and where to go and how...

States that say a cop can disarm you while he has any dealing with you are the ones with the wheelbarrows. They must push them ahead or they wouldn't be able to walk.

Yes, when they run the license it does show I have a CCW license. I am, under Michigan law, required to inform the officer that I am carrying at the time. A license does not mean one is carrying. I don't know about other states.

Your home state requires it. But, when I got pulled over in your home state, I did not inform the state tropper of anything. He did not ask. My state said I do not have to. If ask, I tell them, "Yes, it's on my right hip." Officer- "Is it loaded?", yes it is, wouldn't do me much good if it wasn't. Well, you have a nice day sir, as he handed my lic. back to me. Since I do not know the other 49 states requirements for informing the cops if you carry or not, I don't. I do know the states I can carry with my permit.
