It seems to be that way for us. We had the best January in years. All of our trucks are on loads right now.

I have seen a increase in load offers to the East coast in the past week or so, and a deffinate increase in offers in the midwest..I am OOS for truck repair and they keep calling mw and offering me loads...been a good 1st quater for me and mine..

Jan was great and Feb has come in like Lion!! Boy hate to see when spring comes with busy season!!*L* I am already starting to drag my butt...

What Snow?

The people here are in a panic, or at least that's what the news says. The stations are running 7 to 15 minutes of on the spot reporting to tell us that there is snow in Michigan - go figure.

While all the schools shut down, the post office didn't deliver and the garbage people forgot to come in today, my wife drove her 37.5 miles to work this morning which she was 15 minutes late and the utility meter reader agitated my dogs checking the meters, again leaving the gate open so they went running after the reader again.

Nope didn't see an increase in work - got an offer yesterday for a multiple pickup/multiple drop from Flint to Dayton to Indy and back to Flint which had to be done by this morning.

It's not like I'm getting a ton of work now but back when the weather was decent I had like 4 runs in 4 months or something like that. This year I've had 3 runs in crap weather alone.

We are hauling more loads but nothing to do with the storms. Jan was GREAT and Feb has started out Okee Dokee!! I love this kind of trending in our business.

I hauled a lot of loads last week, but none of them was weather related. Just seems as though freight is picking up in bunches.

Have to agree. Extremely busy for all of our trucks.

I am thinking about buying a van...having someone drive it, but hesitant because of all the horror stories I hear about drivers tearing up the vans, etc.
