Thanks for the good info. I have a wireless enabled laptop, too, but about all I knew about it is that I can use it at home without being tied down to a cable, or in the truck via my Sprint phone. After reading the posts on here, I just downloaded Boingo, and I can't wait to get back on the road to look for a parking lot where I can get on line :)
The knowledge one can gain on this site is invaluable! Us dummies REALLY do appreciate all y'all that share your knowledge:) Keep it up!

Sorry not to have answered earlier...been busy. For diesel fuel... most truckstops accept comchek..and they have a web site that posts fuel prices as of the last transaction. www.gocomchek.com follow the directions. Also www.flyingj.com I ALWAYS compare the less state tax price, it is possible to pay more money up front, but be paying a less fuel price because of the state fuel tax. as far as "ping" or streaming audio. The cellular signal is concerned... sprint's card will actually drop the signal between uses. Your not alway connected to the net.. only when you need or ask info does the card connect to the system. Sometimes the connection gets dropped and doesn't come back.. so I use a microsoft utility that "pings" a web site continuously to maintain a connection. Ping refers to the sonar sounding submarines used to locate other subs. You will really be "pinging" a web site to see if it is there. in our use it just causes the card to be constantly in touch with the net.
