Sorry to bring it up - I need to budget now

I was talking to a fellow driver on a transfer yesterday, his partner was stuck with a sprinter on I90 for a week a couple years ago...that same week I was driving by him twice a day in my Ram Van with posi and General Altimax Arctic tires...

His solution was to tell dispatch they're never going thru Buffalo or West Virginia again. Since 80% of my business goes thru there, what do I do?

Chains? I've searched for a posi type unit or air locker for months, none available (except Australia at 1 company)

Any thoughts appreciated, thanks

(4x4 sprinter not an option)

I've never had a problem winter driving in a sprinter. I was at a shipper with a snow covered ramp last winter. I made it up in a couple shots. A guy there at the same time with ram had way more trouble. Probably more to do with good rubber and driving technic than anything else.

I'll find out how it does in 3+ feet sooner or later

Think I'm permanently traumatized from Buffalo I've got video taking a shortcut across a farmers field in 2 feet of wet stuff because I ran out of roads that weren't closed
