Isn't this a repeat of another
active thread ?

If not ? Ive taken the
liberty to make yours
legible.

Ok I have to ask (why do we do this Job) I have been expediting now for almost a year now and have talked to alot of drivers and owners alike. Here is something to think about. First we have good weeks and then we sit. Sometimes we make good money, sometimes not. We get the freight the bigger companies dont want. We know of drivers that dont get payed from owners and we know of owners getting burnt from drivers. I know of drivers that have been through 2,3,or 4 owners and not gotten payed and on the other hand I no owners that have been taken for money. But they come back and drive, and owners keep putting new drivers in a truck. We as expediters live for weeks sometimes months in a box. Some are very nice and some not. I have seen some owners/drivers that have been out on the road for weeks and they look like they just came from the house, and i have seen drivers/owners look and smell like they been out two years. So this started me thinking why do we do it. I just wanted to get others opinion and see why you do this job. This listing is not to offend anyone just wanted to have some input. This is a tough job and I take my hat off to allot of drivers. Now before I get the messages that I know are coming, yes I plan to continue to drive and yes Im making money, but in everything we do in life we should understand why we do it. God bless and be safe

Whether the post is a retread of a currently active thread or not, (it is), "taking the liberty" to make it "more readable" is going beyond the bounds of what's acceptable, IMO.
I certainly sympathize with the impulse, but we cannot change other folks' posts, unless requested to do so by the author.
If anyone can edit another's post, where does it end?

I was not aware it was posted before, I am sorry I was just asking a question wanted some imput nothing more, what ive seen from this forum is a few people jump all over someone else post and add there own ideas and comments all without answering the question, should this post be removed or can it remain I will do either one just a question

I can't believe I am agreeing with Cheri on this one. Although she and I cross swords from time to time, her point is well made. No one can presume to change another persons writings without consent. I could understand the original post just fine.
If I make mistakes in spelling or grammar, just let it stand. To do otherwise would dissuade some folks from speaking up for fear of ridicule.

Rangell: sorry, but in my reply, I said it is a retread of a currently active thread - I thought that was answering your question. If you need more info, see the thread started by Broompilot, ok?
Maybe you don't mind if someone takes the liberty to edit your words, but I believe most folks, myself included, would NOT appreciate it. And the time to say so is when it happens, IMHO.

And youre certainly entitled
to one.

All I did was make the OPs
thread a little easier on the eyes.
NO harm NO foul

And OP is in agreeance

Whatever the OP says, (and he can't be "in agreeance", because the word doesn't exist - if you want to be an editor, you need to do better yourself...) it is wrong to change someone else's words. Period.

For the record, I neither am nor ever will be
"in agreeance" with anything. For example, I am not in agreeance that the sun rises in the East. The only thing I come close to being in agreeance on is that agreeance is not an actual word. To that, Cheri, I am in absolute agreeance.

The last time I checked we were not in English class. I believe that we all have the intelligence to figure out simple errors in a post.

cheri yes you are right but I throught it would be better to let it go, in hopes of getting some replies to my post, but that didnt happen again everyone is to worried about it was posted before this I understand do to over posting would flood the forum and for this I am sorry did not realize it at time of post. as for the person changing my post or making it a little better on the eyes , I think they were just trying to help Im just sorry they had to come down off there high horse to do it.

Rangell: flooding the forums isn't the problem - splitting a subject into several different threads is, because it gets very confusing when the replies are split as well.
I have no doubt that Juliewray's intention was to help, but that kind of help is just out of bounds.
