Charlotte, why so ultra sensitive about Panther. I found no mention, reference or innuendo toward Panther, subtle or otherwise in Greg's post.

Hawk,I'm in expedite with an E unit for 2 reasons,much less competition,much more money,without haveing to wear my truck out.my yearly miles are as if i were running solo for a regular trucking company,about 140000 miles,but i gross 1/4 million bucks a year,cant do that with a D unit,maybe a DR.

Charlotte,not to rag either,but not all owners at the fed or panther do as well as you.you know I have a saying,a guy can have a money tree in his back yard,but if he doesnt know how to pluck the money off the tree,it wont grow back.owners with the wrong drivers at either of these two companies can go broke really fast,and there trucks will be a bargin.

Been with Panther a little over 3 years had my ups and downs in a cargo van. Now I am going in a stright truck with fedx only because the owner that I drive for has his trucks on fedx and vans at Panther.
will be driving ateam in a reefer just hope I do will.
Every company has it bad times and good.

I happen to agree with you....you can be pro-panther or pro-fedex without belittling the competition. The truth of the matter is that without fed-ex Panther maybe would not pay so well or without Panther, Fed-ex maybe would not pay as well. I do not see competition as a negative thing. The other side of that is I do not think these companies are all that different.....it depend on who you build a business relationship with. Sorry if I took you comments as hits on Panther when they were not intended as such....but many people that read that took them the same way I did. Thanks for clarifying yourself.
