I feel like we're driving through rush hour traffic. Stop, Go, Stop, Go, Stop, Go. Oh, and the inevitable, Stop, Stop, Stop, Stop, slam on the breaks on the Freeway.
It feels better that we're not alone. Most that we've talked to are in rush hour traffic too.
One week we were stuck in Kentucky, another in Tennessee. For those 2 weeks we could compare paychecks with DougTravels. Then we got rolling and did 4 or 5 TVal runs in a row for the next week. I can't complain about this past week, we kept moving Monday through Wednesday with 3 really decent runs and we're $250 short of our weekly goals - which aint too shabby. It's just we had to DH 376 miles to get back to a decent express center yesterday. Now, we're here and had 1 crappy load offer all day going right back to where we DH'd from yesterday. Somebody took it.

We have been sitting for 6 hours now. We had a 135mi DH to Birmingham after we unloaded. We assume nothing till Monday or Tues. now. Layoutshooter
After almost 3 weeks OOS...just crossed the MN border...money phone rings....paided DH to Minni...going to the windy city...will deliver in the AM....

I sat in Connecticut over the weekend, then DH to NJ - still no load.
Well, we dead-headed out of Laredo, went to West Memphis on the Memphis board was 4/3, sat there for a day didn't move up on the board so we headed toward Indy. Right after my last post on this thread we got a load picking up in Kentucky going to PA. 775 miles. Dropped in PA and then got a load from Lewisberry PA to Oregon OH (6 miles from barn) 433 miles. So we have started moving again. Checked my load book from last year and same thing happened at Easter. We were running hard and suddenly went down, couldn't get a load. No load from April 10 to April 21st last year so thinking it was just the Easter holiday. But things are going to get better! Yep, economy is going to take off and we are going to run run run til we just poop out!

i agree. slow. got the truck back tuesday and loaded it up. 1000 miles since wed afternoon. glad its slow. sitting in corfu and the j has no tv

Well i am gettin close if you figure sta & sun. got into Waddy Ky 8 pm thurs. night, soooo thats what 84 hours with those days....but hey, i came in here #1 the oly bolt van within 100 miles....well i am still #1 and waitin........

Wish I'd have known, Jack. Hadn't seen my sister in almost a year before this month, and have now been through or laid over at her house 4 times since. She's in western NY and my Puerto Rican spousal unit cooked us all some fine grub this weekend. Corfu is almost in her backyard.

I've been sitting the longest. Bet you didn't know a freightliner columbia door with the help of the wind, CAN close and latch with your hand in the jam,of course this requires a few bones to be crushed and a few more to be broken and it needs to squeeze a lot of blood out to but in the end it can be done. you know the worst part is it realy didn't hurt untill I opened the door.

Hey those of you who were talking about honey-do lists....it reminded me of a solution that I came up with lately.
Seems everytime I came home there was a major home repair to tackle. It doesn't happen anymore....because I simply don't go home! LOL.

Sat at home 18 days , then ran about 1300 mi loaded in 3 days ended up about 250mi from home on friday was 9th out in cleveland. deadheaded home. Hope it dont take me another 18days to get out again............... but sitting at home beats parking lot sitting...

hmmm 18 +3 = 21= 3 weeks
assuming all were .77 plus .08 fsc for .85...$1105 gross for 3 weeks
Assuming 1300 paid another 50 between loads plus your 250...say 1600 at say 22mpg =almost 73 gallons at almost 2 bucks...$146 for fuel....that'd be $959 for 3 weeks about 320 a week not counting fixed costs.....

Yep, thats about it. I guess they are being nice, and letting me used to being semi retired. Im just glad that my Kids are grown, and Im debt FREE.............
