I have been sitting here on the Mexican border for a few days, relaxing and taking some time off to finish up a few articles and I am so surprised at the ‘rich’ Mexicans who come here to shop.
When I went to the Wal-Mart a couple miles north of the border, I was so surprised at the amount of Mexicans who were shopping there.
Ironic if you think about it, Mexicans shopping in the US buying to buy Chinese made products.
Well when I went to check out, I was behind a really nice looking and really nicely dressed lady and her stuff was falling over onto mine. She apologized to me for the mess of knocking my stuff off the belt which opened the door to start a conversation.
I asked where she was from and why is she here shopping, her response why was because it is a lot cheaper to come here and shop. I was surprised to say the least. She explained the money she saved by doing all her shopping on this side of the border was a lot for the hassle she may go through coming here. The thing that really got me was when she pulled out that Amex gold card to get to her MC card.
But she wasn’t the only one who has told me this, I ran into a nice couple from Ensenada at a shop in the mall and they told me the same thing but when I caught up to them in line, he pulled out a black Amex card (if you know what that is) and I saw them later driving off in one of those SL65 AMG Mercedes.
