Who gets the load.

This relates to cargo vans driving solo. If driver #1 gets to Indy and parks on the south side, and driver #2 gets to Indy several hours later and parks on the north side, who gets the load if it is on the north side? The closest van, or the earliest van? Assuming both work for the same major carrier. :+ :+

the way it's supposed to work is that the earliest van would get the load IF there is sufficient time for them to get there when the customer wants the load picked up.otherwise the closest van would get the load. DD.

Excellent question and dd"s reply (the way it is supposed to work) tells it all. Unfortunately the way it is supposed to work only seems to occur on a infrequent basis. Everyone on this forum can tell stories about being passed over for a load because they needed a Quicker PU.Trucks can be sitting side by side and the last one may get the load because when he/she checked in they were on the North Side.Life is not fair.
