WHO From EO, Has Helped You the Most?

This reads like the acceptance speeches at the Academy Awards [Hi, Mom!], so I'm picturing everyone dressed up and smiling - nice, lol.
The list is long, and at the top would be the crew who created EO - without Lawrence and his team, none of us would be here today: thanks, guys. [And Debbie M, too!]
The info that helped me most always came from Terry O [and Renee] and DaveKC, Rich Moore and Turtle and Moot, TeamCaffee and of course, Jeff Jensen.
I probably could have done it without you - but I would have made some [more] really expensive mistakes along the way - and I wouldn't have had half as much fun doing it. :D

I would have to say a TON of people. Being from "the other side of the fence", EO has been a great learning resource. I have learned a lot, good and bad. It really has helped to give me the ability to get a feel for what is going on in the industry. It also lets me test ideas, get feedback, learn from other success's and failures. I truly believe it has helped to make me a more "informed" owner, and thus a better owner.

My thanks goes out to everyone here on EO and to Lawrence for creating the infrastructure for this whole thing.

I wish there was more owners and recruiters active here....I guess they have thin skin....sure they'd get knocked up a bit....but hey, they seem to want to be in the closet....

That sentence is probably more accurate for most all of us then some might think...I know it is for me also..

I built my 1st van the way I wanted it on my own..it was ok...but then I started reading Turles and Moots post on what they did, along with other and each time i'd get home, Id tear somethging out or apart and redo it..it was an ongoing and sometimes expensive deal...

I then left things alone and then instead of making massive changes, started "ADDING or incorporating the ideas I got here...the outcome was a better finished product done cheaper and with fewer mistakes....

So yea, I did it without the advise here, but the end product was a combination of info gained here along with my mindset...

One other thing that i have gained from alot here but Turtle still ranks high on the list is simply the way of thinking or looking at this business...being self employed and a business owner most of my adult life, i certaily had my ways of doing things that i brought to this business. But while no 2 businesses are the same, you can meld alot of what you know into multiple businesses..you can do that here to a certain extent, but not has much as one might think...reading here and gaining info from those that came before me let me rethink alot of things and mae those changes in how i do things....and that even goes to my personal life....I am having an very pleasant ongoing PM exchange with a member here that i would have never expected to message me...our exchanges have taken the direction of letting me examine myself and just why i do what i do and how i got there to begin with and how the changes that i have been going through came about...so there is much more to what we take away from here then maybe even we know..i can say that when I started this post the other day, those PM exchanges never came to mind...wow...Thank you!! You know who you are...:)

Steve, you are not coming off as a "know it all" at all..you are one of those that built this industry to the point where we can and do earn a good income from it..It was you and folks like you that laid that foundation for us. I'd love to read that book one day...while I don't drive a TT or even a ST , over my time here I have gain alot of insight to this business from you and those that are still here from day 1 .... Don't ever look at it like you know it all, without you guys that were here at the beginning, I would have been able to ask the question to begin with...

We get spoiled by having such a wealth of knowledge at our fingertips. Over the weekend I was talking with a ST team, with 3 years experience. When I asked if they are on EO they said, "haven't been there in a while". I asked if they'd gone to an Expo. Was told, "2 years ago, it was a waste of time". "Did you go to any of the workshops or seminars?", I asked. " I know all I need to know about how to run a business", was the answer. So I had to ask, "couldn't you take the opportunity to teach someone new?". He looked at me like I was an idiot.
Thanks EO for sharing :D

LOL, I once had a older wiser man tell me that "when i thought I knew it all, I was on my way to screwing up, and most of the time those screwups would be BIG.."...It took me a long time to figure that out..hence being married 3 times!! :D

I have made alot of money in business and lost just as much..over the time i have learned the day you quit learning, chances are you are going to be dead....that being said, if anyone needs any advise on marriage...:D

Getting rid of that "don't wanna" list was the best business decision I ever made, and y'all can guess who I first saw post that bit of advice.
