WHERE'S DO I FIND THE NYC LOCAL WORK 26FT LIFT GATE

This question is for my fellow owner operators working in or around NYC: I have done all my research and know what is need to get started. I am in the process of getting my dot numbers and buying a 26 foot truck with lift gate. I see a lot of postings on craigslist for local work, but are there any other places I can get local delivery work for my truck? I am buying either a freightliner m2 106 or a International 4300 both are going to be under 26,000 lbs as I don't have a CDL. Any help finding other sources for work would be helpful. Thanx in advance.

A 26 foot box and liftgate?
With a 26k GVWR, you would be lucky if you have 5000lbs left for freight.
A waste of a 26 foot box, imo.

Are you sure you did your research?;)

Edit: Or am I just misunderstanding you and you mean 26 foot LOA?

Lol... Yes I did my research that's what most people drive here in NYC. From what people tell me its because its easier to find drivers because you don't need a CDL to operate. It is strictly for local work only I wont be going through any weigh stations.;)

A first poster telling everyone on a public forum that they don't care if they run overweight.
I just can't decide if you're serious or you're a troll.

Knock on doors. I have a buddy in CT who's independent and does a lot of semi truck and straight truck open deck work in and around the city. Great money not coming from brokers though.
