I was just a few months past my 13th birthday!! and glued to a BW TV....

I was 8. Remember it well. Sunday supper at Grandma and Grandpas, then the Sullivan show was a nearly weekly deal. Grandpa ranting about that long hair...

I was home, and 17 years old and graduated in May 64. Im older now and still like the Beatles.

Really I thought they forbid the American broadcast signal passage into Canada, something to with the CBC's friendly giant being in a fight with captian kangaroo.

Feb 1964, I would have been a toddler in a coal mining village. Images of Radio Flyers, Warm Morning stoves, wringer-style washing machines, coal dust. Coal miners, coal trucks, coal shovels, coal mines everywhere. Inescapable coal.
