was in Amarillo,TX and Hobbs,NM for what will be called the "great spring blizzard of 09" Midland got down to 32 that day. It's late March and I'm in Texas and I'm having to run the espar.
Broke one of my own rules Wed and got a nice run from it, Well not really i say stay off main street and we POD in Detroit ,and i figure Detroit is the corner of Main and Main for you all who have been to Decatur,IL you know what I'm talking about.
So instead of trying to get out of there i noticed being the first team with 4 trucks ahead of me then a baby ST got a first out solo as well. About noon the QC went off with a 1551 mile run .17 FSC which led to a almost 500 mile run with a .47 thats no typo .47 FSC unless they change it after the dust settles.
So it's been an OK week expert for the weather,The purple blips on the map(ice and lots of it) was hitting the north of Amarillo as we wear leaving the south side of town I watched it on the radar

okay week. couple long days/little sleep. good sleep last nite. probably the rest of the weekend also.
in new haven ct expecting to return to the b'town nj petro by tomorrow for monday deployment. planning on seeing the ct coastline for a while. pnera is filling up so it may be time to go for today.
spent friday morn crashing a fedex tval/wg/temp assurance convention at b'town lead by terry. saw layout and mrs l. there was a familiar face but i couldn't place it. he said his name was darryl. afterwards i remembered him from the cool rigz page in exp now. HI DARRYL.

Back in service today, 14 days after my getting broadsided. Van is fixed and ready to go. food in the frig and freezier and all clean sheets on the bunk and clean clothes in the duffel. Now when the other 10 Vans ahead of me get out of town..........Normally I'd be heading to Chicago and waiting for a load there, but I guess I need to get a new QC since they have updated them, so I'll hang in Toledo till monday, get it changed out and head for Chicago in the afternoon.
It will be good to get back on the road, both my wife and i have had just about as much of each other as we need for now!!! Not to say I am hard to live with or anything.......

Today we are in Kirkersville Ohio at the Flying J off I-70. Dropped this morning in Chillicothe Ohio at Kenworth. Made it to Walmart to buy groceries, cleaned the truck and did laundry so it has been a productive day. All in all it is a nice relaxing day.
Seems things are on the upswing here at Tri-State. Got 4019 miles last week and 1500 so far this week. Would have done better had some bad luck in destinations this week. Our week goes from Wednesday to Tuesday so still got time for a few more miles. Seems everyone I've talked to has been getting some pretty good miles these last few weeks. Happy Happy we are all going to start movin those miles again!

Any who - hope everyone is having a good week, no complaints from me that's for sure!
I can't complain either, we just spent several glorious days at home, got our taxes to the accountant, trimmed the feet on a couple of ponies and generally just unwound. We had a great load offer, but it was too tight and cancelled, but the next morning we had another good one, going to Salt Lake City. Dropped this morning and had already gotten a load offer for Edmonton,AB with an EM back to WA state. Good start for next week! Oh and it's sunny, T-shirt weather here in the land of beehives! LOL!

Thanks for the Heads up on the newbies class monday Jack!! I knew it was, but just didn't think about it interfering with the swap out of the QC...I'll be there real early..I don't have the dome and mine is a "plug" in to the "asscessories" outlet, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
I'd keep mu old one, it works fine for me, but they are makin me swap it. I am not big into the games and stuff i hear it has so it will just sit there till i need it......Lookin to get back out monday, be it from toledo, or chicago, either way I am moving...after being out at least 21 days a month for the last 7 months, spending 2 weeks straight with my 14 y/o daughter is wearing thin.......and I think I am also putting a crimp in her "style" too........

Having to spend the weekend with out a load can be very boring.but because of E/O and this thread you get the chance to meet the other members such as this weekend in Blacksburg,SC with Cheri. helps pass the time, but Cheri if we do not stop sleeping next to each other people will start talking.

People are gonna talk anyhow - and I enjoy sleeping next to Mr Snappy. There's enough lights on his truck to read by, lol. If you've never seen it, it's a pretty cool truck.
I too would like to resurrect the "Have you seen this expediter" thread, it helps to identify other members when you see them out there. (Even if you just want to avoid them.....)
