Can anyone tell me in the past year the cities and states they have delivered to or picked up from on a monthly basis and the frequency of those places. No need to name the business.

I mean no offense but that's a very general question that would take a lot of research and copy time to post. Being on the road an average of 250 days + per year (estimate), with the possibility of one load per day or every couple of days, I'm sure you see the problem here.

More important to you would be that question asked of someone that runs for the same carrier as yourself. That would give you a better idea of the "hot spots" as they are different for different carriers/ scenarios, etc.

If you'll post who you're running for maybe someone from the same can help you. DD

Where have I been?

Right here, haven't moved all day, just sitting here stewing over my box.

Let's see....I am bored so.....

Here is a quick list of cities, I won't post the smaller ones or the number of times I been to them but they are in order of frequency.

I think Atlanta tops the list, even though I changed companies, I enjoy this area the most and seem to move.

Chicago comes in second but don't know now

LA third

San Diego a close fourth to LA

Denver

Denver again

Charlotte

Triad area

NYC

NYC again

Cleveland

Cincinnati

Lexington

Everything east of Arizona on a regular basis. Now here's something odd. When I first got in I always heard about these areas that everyone wants to avoid because you sit forever when you're there. I always heard people telling me don't go to the northeast. But it seems that every time I go to the northeast I get back out of there really fast and usually with something paying pretty well. I wonder if it's because fewer people go up there that there's not as much competition for the loads that come back out. I don't like going up there because of the lack of truck stops and I'm too cheap to get a motel room just for a shower, but I always get a good load out of that area. I've always had good luck in the Carolinas and in Texas. I live in Ohio and every time I get home I'm never at the house long, usually back out as soon as I want to leave. I've never had much luck with Florida though, usually short stuff that doesn't pay that well, but I've not been down there that much.

In 2007, we picked up freight 123 times. Deliveries are a little trickier to quickly list as some pickups have multiple delivery stops on their runs.

Pickups include three in Boston, MA and three in Los Angeles, CA. We picked up freight twice in 11 other cities. The remaining cities each had one pickup.

By state, we picked up freight in 34 states. The busiest states were:

CA: 12 pickups
NJ: 10 pickups
PA: 09 pickups
FL: 09 pickups
MA and TX each had 6 pickups
The remaining states had 4 pickups or less.

We are team drivers in a FedEx Custom Critical, White Glove, reefer truck. Our run count is lower than many and results will vary quite a bit from one expediter or team to the next.

Hope this helps. If you tell us more about what you hope to learn by asking what you asked, I may be able to provide information that is more to your point.

in 2007 we loaded 158 loads, that was done in 240 days.we were in states from border to border, ocean to ocean, with the biggest part of our loads being picked up in memphis tn.It would be very difficult to list every city and every load, but this is what we did in general .

ThibodeauxBayou,

That is a cool grouping of stops. It seems you managed to stay pretty much in the same region, which is something some expediters may benefit from doing. Can you tell us more? What kind of loads? What kind of truck? Solo, right? Carrier?
