It is probably possible to find someone to hire you with no experience. Question is finding an insurance company that will "insure" you with no experience. But, even that can be done. You just about have to own your truck to get around it. Or know the owner well enough to go out on a limb for you. Of course there will be several here who won't like my point of view.

Yes you can find someone, a few carriers will consider you, but in most cases carriers are provided guidelines by the insurance company that covers the carrier's liability policy.
I would suggest submitting an application to all the carriers on this site, one app can be sent to them all, or to the ones you wish to apply to.
If they can accept u they will call and put u in touch with one of their owner operators that could have an opening.

Your chances would be significantly better if you are willing to drive team [even if just for six months] with an experienced driver. Check the EO classified ads for 'Team driver wanted" to see if anything looks like it might work for you, and expect to put up with less than perfection [AKA paying your dues] for awhile. :)

As Cheri said, you should get with a co driver. This is expedite and your better off running team than solo. Most of the companies will let you in a straight truck and no experience, but not in a tractor,Fdcc will show you as co driver only if you have an experienced lead driver,as long as you came from a good school.Good luck, welcome to EO

If you're someone like me who has never had an at fault accident, never had a DUI ever and no speeding tickets in a decade, how much does a company that offers commercial insurance take that into account for someone looking to be an O/O ?
