What's wrong with our government?

Well there is a word that was used and it fits a lot of this of what is going on - patronage.

see when Doug and Andy get going and scream about what went on in Bush's administration, they fail to get that it is going on now but on a larger scale.

I don't doubt that there are some of our representatives who are involved, most of the Latino organizations like La Raza cover their tracks pretty good and even McCain seems to be one who benefits from his connections and I don't doubt he has explicit knowledge of it.

What I think that bothers me the most is a lot of people are apologizing for one type of slavery not one of us had a thing to do with while looking the other way with a more horrific form of slavery. Most of those by the way are on the left.

Having seen the character of a number of our so-called elected officials it would not surprise me at all to find out that some were "taking advantage" of some of those "new slaves" that are trucked in. Many of our polititions are NOT pillars of moral living.

SHANKSVILLE, Pa. -- The National Park Service has acquired about 950 acres of land for the Flight 93 National Memorial in southwestern Pennsylvania.


Friday's announcement said it's the park service's largest single acquisition of private land for the memorial about 65 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The land does not include the 500 acres of private land the government is trying to acquire for the memorial through eminent domain.

The government plans a $58 million, 2,200-acre permanent memorial and national park at the crash site.

Ok..........I quess I will go with the simple. Why is it necessary to spend 58 million on a memorial? I think one is certainly appropriate, but not at that price tag.
Secondly, why do we need 2200 acres for it? Must be planning some hard rock metal concerts.

I have a better plan than a fence the illegal’s come here for a job well when we catch them give them a shovel and a wheel barrow. And let’s have them build us the American Canal dig a huge trench wide enough for shipping this will do several things. One it will speed up transportation of goods two we won’t ever have to worry about China closing the Panama Canal to US ships in the event of hostilities be it between us and them or any country that they are a protectorate of. And just how long do you think it will take for people to figure out that crossing into the USA illegally isn’t worth it once caught. And I don’t care how someone got here illegally plane train or automobile I don’t care stay over your visa whatever you get caught you get sent to the boarder for hard labor.
