A friend of mine had a team that did something similar..
Spool of wire laid on its side 1500 lbs, not going anywhere right?
Hit the brakes in a panic stop and spool knocked the co-driver outta bed.
Spool hit the box so hard it pushed the sleeper in 10 inches $$$.

This might not be the stupidest thing but the funniest thing that happen. I was running an all nighter, and was having a hard time getting comfortable in the drivers seat. constantly tugging at my shorts. and to make matters worse I had a bowl of chili at the truckstop for dinner.and needless to say is was not sitting well with me.I guess you know where this is going. I start passing gas and to my surprise it was a quiet refreshing odor . now thats very unusaul for me after eating chili.after several hours of this happening and trying to figure out why every time I passed a little gas is was like a breath of fresh air. so after I finished my delivery and got back to a truck stop I get ready for bed and as I was undressing I noticed a lump in my shorts . now this is not what you are thinking. it was a dryer sheet in my underwear from the last time I had done laundry. I laughed so hard. I have been using a dryer sheet in my shorts since that day..LOL.. Hope everyone has safe and Happy Holiday.......

Ooooh - I have a good "walking into the wrong bathroom" one - I followed the woman I was teaming with into the restroom at a WalMart, not noticing it was the Men's, because she was blocking my vision. One of the two stalls was occupied, and she took the other, so I waited near the sinks. My first clue was the urinals - they don't have those in the Women's... I looked at the floor under the stall my codriver wasn't in, and saw a pair of VERY large men's boots - uh oh! Um, now what do I do? I didn't want to say anything, because he would hear it too, so I just quietly walked out. I used the correct restroom, and came out, to find not my codriver, but another lady waiting for someone. After a minute, a man came out of the Men's, went to the other lady, and whispered in her ear. She looked at me, and said "Your friend is using the Men's room?!" I didn't know WHAT to say, so I just kind of shrugged, and mumbled, until they both walked away, shaking their heads, wondering what this world is coming to, no doubt, when women think they can use any restroom they want - is nothing sacred?
When my codriver came out at last, I told her to stop, and look at the door she'd walked out of....and the look on her face was just priceless, lol

Ok Cheri this bathroom thing got me to thinking of something Bob did a couple years ago. We both were on our way into a Pilot first thing in the morning and Bob was just talking away and I went into the girls bathroom and didn't even pay any attention just sort of listening then I sat down and realized he was still talking in the stall next to me. Now I have NO tact and I start laughing and I say Hey Bob you are in the girls bathroom! Boy was it funny watching him try to get out of there. I had to be the spy and watch for women coming in. As you can guess he still gets teased about this every once in awhile when I point out the men's bathroom! He will want to kill me for posting this one!

Linder, just point out to him (after you peel his hands off your throat) that Moot did it TWICE. In the same week. He's my hero! (Not for walking into the Women's - GAH! but because he's not afraid to admit it. In public.)

I'm sitting here laughing so hard at this thread, that my hubby decided I had lost it. So I read these posts to him....now before he decides to post (he hardly ever posts, but threatened to)...I'm going to tell on myself.
I get lost coming out of the shower. Not really lost, but dangit, every single time I come out of the shower room I try to turn the wrong direction!! It doesn't matter what truckstop, it's the same every time. Anybody got a GPS for showers?

Pel, do you mean inside the place, or in the parking lot? Because I wouldn't get much exercise at all, if I could ever remember where I parked the truck! I was gonna put something flashy on the antenna, to help me find it, till I realized I'd probably gain 80 lbs, if I started walking straight to the truck, lol.

pelicn Boy can I relate to getting lost coming out of the showers! I usually have a really good sense of direction but not inside a building. I have found that if I just hang back a little and let Bob lead the way I don't look as silly when I find the back of the building! Fumny how you think you are the only one that gets lost while inside a building.

When I owned an office supply business I made the rounds of the downtown offices calling on customers. One building had the restroom doors set back several inches from the hallway walls. The signs weren't on the doors, they were on the frame beside the door. When you're walking down the hall and glancing to the left the sign that's basically around the corner appears as n en men and if you quit paying attention and walk in while thinking about what's next you don't notice the omen women part of the sign. It's pretty apparent when you get inside and there's twice as many sinks and twice as many toilets and not a single urinal anywhere though. When there's nobody inside and nobody in the hall either before or after you make your u-turn it's nice too. Oh well, could have been worse.
