I never said it was. I have rejected ChatGPT answers many times because they were inadequate or inaccurate. But I used the answer cited above because it comports with other sources that give essentially the same answer when asked. Do you know a better way to describe the far-right portion of the political spectrum than ChatGPT's way?Maybe this ChatGPT that some rely on for their information isn’t the most healthiest thing, imo.
ChatGPT is my go-to source for any question I have because it responds instantly and usually accurately. But it's new and wise ChatGPT users know to be alert for incorrect responses.
Example, just yesterday, a gym-owner colleague asked me for a set of gym-etiquette rules. Rather than providing a document, I directed him to ChatGPT where he could ask his question, receive an instant response, and then tell ChatGPT to modify the rules to add, omit, emphasize or de-emphasize what he wanted. In less time than he would take to open, read and modify my document, he could have ChatGPT produce a customized document specifically for his gym.
ChatGPT is an amazing time-saver. As it learns, it's responses are getting more accurate by the day. You said it isn't the most healthy thing to rely on for information. Maybe so. But for the productivity gains it provides, it is a welcome resource in our business and my life.
Another example. Today, we are considering applicants for a job we have open. One of them says she is an "influencer." Not knowing much about this emerging career field, I went online to learn more.
Old way: Google "influencer" and sort through the dozens of links Google provides.
New way: Ask ChatGPT and instantly receive a summary article. Then, ask GPT to instantly answer the questions the first article prompts.
The new way is like having a human conversation with a subject-matter expert.
If a topic is one of major importance, it of course makes sense to rely on more sources than ChatGPT. But having discovered how fast and beneficial ChatGPT can be, ChatGPT is where I start. I keep a ChatGPT tap open on my browser and my phone, and I use it several times a day. If you play around with it a bit yourself, I think you'll also find ChatGPT and other AI apps it to be quite useful.
