Staying away from home for extended periods of time has consequences.

We plan on going home every couple of months to every four months and this means missing some events.

I was reminded of this recently when I celebrating my birthday. Our daughter called to say a package had arrived at the house addressed to me. I asked her if she would open the package and send me a picture of my gift. This was the only way I was going to know what my birthday present was for several months.

We miss a lot of things while away from home and on the road, family picnics, Thanksgiving, sometimes Christmas, Birthdays, and other special events. The question is how do you deal with this?

Nice article by Bob & Linda. I thought I was the only one staying out 4-5 months at a time, lol.

When it comes down to it, what's considered more important, money, or family. The treasures in life are not material, they're the memories we create with family. Those treasures are worth more than any size bank account.

If I had a Caffcadia and the love of my life with me, I'd stay out four months also. Bob and Linda, could you do it in a van? :)

Could you do it in a van?
Could you do it in Spokane?
Could you do it here and there?
Could you do it everywhere?

We could do it in a van.
We could do it in Spokane.
We could do it here and there.
We already do it everywhere!

(Sigh) I'm sure they could do 'that' in a van, as they are true Seventies kids; I meant to make a successful go of it like they are now...
