Auntie Em, Auntie Em, Where am I????

Hi, I had something happen last week in Perrysburg, Ohio. I was parked beside another expediter to sleep. While I was in the truck stop having breakfast I got a load. So I paid my bill and went out to my van to get ready to leave. While in my van pulling down my window coverings I heard what sounded like water trickling down my van. I thought wow it must be warming up enough to melt some of the ice. To my horror when I pulled the blanket away from the passenger window I saw someone peeing on the side door of my van. I yelled out the window but he continued. When I saw him reach into the van beside mine, grab something from the seat and lock the door I realized it was the expediter next to me. What would you have done?x(

I would have prepared my van to leave, and just before I left I would have calmly walked to the front of his van and emptied out a full Gatorade bottle, not full of Gatorade, onto his windshield. hehe

Actually, I'd have called the company he was leased to and complained.

My instinct would of been to retaliate, but I usually end up paying for such actions, so would of decided against that. The sensible side of me would of gotten his unit number and reported him to his company in a manner that unlike him was professional but also stern enough to let them know how upset I was, and probably ask that they pay for my unit to be washed and deduct it from his settlement.

I would have just taken the valve core out of one of his rear tires, and been on my merry way.

I agree with Greg - called the Police and his company. It's still not to late to call his company.

I to go for that "gatorade" on the windshield. After settleing into the fresh air vents, he will get to enjoy the presence of your company for months to come. I promise each time he opens a fresh air vent, he will think of you. What a scumbag...

The fact that the SOB didn't leave tells you a lot. I agree with the others,TELL his company also you could have asked him,"Do you always pee on other peoples vehicles or did I do something to offend you"??
This will really get him going,"BTW you sure have a tiny weewee, did you have an accident that caused it to be so small". What a reaction that would bring.

Report, smort I would have had to have a "talk" with him. At the very least he would have put fifty bucks in my hand or we could see how far that little thing would strech(sp).

Digital cameras are nice, but this is when it pays to have a camera phone, with zoom, cause it's always handy - snap a photo of the offender, red handed, (so to speak), and a photo of his van, including the #. Then call his carrier and ask for an email address to which you can send proof of your complaint, which can be done from your phone.
Telling the offender "That looks just like a penis - only much smaller!" is entirely optional. ;)

In situations like this and others it is very important to remain calm and unemotional because...

-One don't want this affecting their driving later on.

-One can think better when calm and the emotions are in check.

Keep in mind that folks who do this sort of thing don't think the same way nor do they have the same sort of respect for others as the rest of us do.

How would I have reacted? I would have engaged the truck's "attention" system which basically puts on a light and noise show, and then went over to have a word or two with him.

One has to be careful in situations like this because you don't know how much of a lunatic this individual is or what he may be packing... gun, knife, etc. Basically, you don't want to end up with personal injuries or worse because some bozo decided to sprinkle urine on the side of your truck. It isn't worth getting shot or stabbed over.

Kathy, Your post of this disgusting guy begs you to report him to his company. I have only been a part of this business 3-1/2 years, but it seems that there is an element of new drivers entering that should not. It is up to the company's that we represent to clean up this element. All we can do is report and hope that civility returns to the industry. Still there has always been that element in the trucking business but we have a responsibility to report it and then hope that his company will see the kind of "face-to-face" customer contacts that their customers are seeing show-up to their docks.
Some of us try to be professional and make a good representation of our company's.

I'd have called the police and filed a complaint and then called his company and filed a complaint. I wouldn't approach anyone that trashy because there's no telling what he might do. While putting super glue into his locks and valve stems would be tempting it is never a wise move to retaliate, other than through the authorities.

As Greg mentioned, PLUS go inside the of the place. Locate the manager and tell them, the evidence would show the truth!!! Let them discuss it with the cops.

It is a crime to urinate in a parking lot, and with evidence and your willingness to testify this person could be in for some trouble. I do not know if where you are at if the Police would want to do anything but some areas of the country take this serious. Sorry you had to witness this.

Now I just want to say, I got myself into a heap of trouble last year on this site with some members. You think what this guy was bad, how about a bag of human waiste tossed out next to my truck? I did not damage the persons vehicle plus he blocked me in by being a lazy jerk, cranked the RPMs from the cruise, with a bad muffler at 6AM and woke up every truck within 10 of us up.

Do not ever damage someones vehicle as stated here, PLEASE. I did not but boy you should read some of the comments on here, you thought I shot the guys dog.
