In theses times I think its easy to get nervous about our carriers, I didnt mean to try and blame my carrier, it was more abour how long does one wait to get a new check{maybe i should have been clearer}. Try Hours has treated me well for as long as i have been there. I'm glad to know it was just the postal service.
And we're still getting plenty of exercise on this site. Jumping to conclusions, an such. How in the world are you going to git along if times git tuff, if'n ya git that bent fer a couple a late days???

Enough of the nonsense and child's play from someone who is suppose to be a 'leader and veteran' of this profession.
Also, to the party who said, EO does enough on here without stepping in and solving other parties problems......I am wondering what does EO actually do for us.
True they provide this forum, but outside the forum what do they do for us?
Do you actually think EO would be here FOR US if they were not making money from their banner ads, etc etc?
I mean really, its fine they make a great deal of money, more power to them - but lets not paint EO like they are the saving grace of this profession........

Oilerman1957 we are all glad you finally got your paycheck. You had every right to be concerned when your check did not arrive on time. I am sure any one person on this forum would feel the same regardless of what they post here! With this economy and way businesses are going under a driver should be concerned when their check does not arrive as scheduled. I think we all know that.
In your place I would be checking with my company for a direct deposit. I would just about bet they do provide it. If you don't want it to go into your checking account you can always get a prepaid mastercard and have it deposited directly to the card. That is what I was told three years ago when I started driving and have had my pay deposited directly to my miocard for the past three years. Never had a problem with it. The one time someone got my number and put 3 un-authorized charges on my card (suspect it was my niece, but can't say for sure, shame a family member would do such a thing) miocard re-imbursed the full amount back to my card without any hassle. I use my card to pay all my bills online and to shop. Only downfall is you have to take cash from an atm or as cash back when shopping. I use the Walmart atm as it is only a 1.50 fee. Also, with direct deposit there is no monthly fee. You can get the miocard at most truck stops.

Honestly, it's nunya what EO makes. Yes, EO provides us with a forum. Nowhere does it say "EO is here for you if you have a problem." Basically, EO owes you two things... Jack and dookie; and Jack left town.
If you want someone to take care of you, do like I said and START A UNION!!! EO isn't in the business to tuck you in at night, Ft Wagon.

EO provides a venue for all who wish to speak out. Like any opportunity, some make better use of it than others.

Sponsor seminars, put on the Expediter's Expo each year in July, host the classified ads, create & print & distribute Expedite Now magazine, toss in the occasional contest (Zombies in the drivers' seat was a hoot), and last-but-not-least, they HAVE been known to intercede on behalf of a member with a problem. Hawk- You sound like a broker record. The guy didn't ask for someone to hold his hand, nor did I advocate such, he simply ask for input and I simply asked why doesn't EO flex their relationship with Try Hours to help a driver out......and then you have to make your Jack and dookie crack.......good gosh if you want to lay in bed with EO and some of the advertisers then please at least close the window where we don't have to see or hear it. But when a driver is 'possibly' getting short changed or his pay check is delayed for no 'apparent' reason then you should have the respect for a fellow driver and give him his time to explain and get his answers. No matter what you have experienced or have not experienced - there are bad carriers and there are bad owners.

Obviously you're ignoring the other voices who are echoing my sentiments, because you're responding a second time to my one post.
Just a guess here, but perhaps it's the fact that you've gone thru near a dozen profiles, and have YET to contribute one iota of constructive debate or info to the forum! You've been shown to be a liar, a rabble-rouser, and an antagonist. Childish behavior? Something about a pot and kettle, huh?
