What Would You Ask For, and Why?

We know of several issues that need to be addressd, but our top three are:
1. any pro paperwork that is turned in by friday midnight(especially scanned) should be paid out the following friday, not held for two weeks.
2. should be given the choice of having your weekly pay deposited into your personal account and not comdata. Therefore helping to rid of useless comdata charges and 1 to 3 days wire times.

3. have specific express centers(ie large cities) and be able to travel 25 miles minimum within that express center without being penalized by losing your board position.

4. because you asked, you get a bonus: the 45% advance should be paid after you p/u the load and it should include the fsc to help pay for these outrageous fuel prices.

thanks for asking, have a great day!!!!!

I thought I have been straightforward and complete in answering your questions. If you feel sidestepped, please re-ask or direct me to an example and I will try again.

I would ask for additional insurance coverage options. Instead of having one policy option that fits the whole fleet, I would like our carrier to work out a menu of options at fleet rates that contractors can pick and choose, and pay for according to their choices.

I would ask for that because I want to feel as secure as I possibly can out on the road and know that we are as prepared as we can possibly be for bad things that might happen.

Is this a fed-ex thing or can you not go through OOIDA and get your own insurance?

Paul 56 said it best: "I would be talking to myself" My exact thought as I read it, I am the president and everything else in charge of my own future with a little LUCK is all.

Intresting Post though Phil, even nicer on the dreaming it up.

Now let me go mow my lawn, as I got's to keep that Corporate Image up of a nice green manicured lawn while I am at home. Either that or the Wife, well just not a happy camper if I do not do while home. Work does have its benefits with the Spouse.

My wish? Have a FULL service Lawn crew to do it all in the yard, I hate it while there was a time I loved it.

Our wish would be that fleet trucks and owners not be given preferential treatment over the one truck O/O.

ie:

Have to wait 6 months and have a good record before you get into White Glove much less T-Val

Have to wait 6 months before you can apply for clearances

You have our truck stats, you have the load information, give us routing that takes that into account. Like Greg said, it's HAZMAT and I am 13'6" tall...don't send me down the neighborhood street with a 12'0" bridge on it.

Dispatch, give us ALL the information about the load at one time. Stop giving it to us piece meal, and making us call numerous times to get more information. For example, easy stuff like, on a temperature control load... What's the temperature suppose to be?
