I've found myself in many different places in my short time doing this. But, I don't think that anywhere is more tiring to drive than Pennsylvania. Yeah, Ohio is tiring just because it's Ohio. and West Virginia is tiring because of all the twists and turns. But PA takes my award for the most tiring. Probably because it's 300-some odd miles wide AND you get the twists and turns of WV. AND you get the boredom of OH.

I dunno, maybe it's just me.

I love driving both I-80 and I-81 no cities, just cruise along and great views (day time) can always listen to some great CB conversations except near truck stops. Drivers always seem to be friendly on the CB on those routes.

My two favorite routes, Boston-Chicago or MNP, or Boston - Atlanta or Charlotte.

Why would I expect you to say anything other than Charlotte??? What a homer!!!

My faves are anywhere in New England, Oklahoma, and Atlanta (that's where my boy lives).

Critter,

Just an observation on your "sig file" - isn't poor planning the hallmark of this business? I think if the shippers, manufacturers were 100% efficient - it would have a negative impact on us.

So for all those shippers out there...I say "inventory – forget about it". LOL!!!

HI
Now how can you say PA is a boring drive. Thats where bambi dodging became a sport. And that rolling upturned pavment is just like the diptydos {sp}in Tough Truck Racing.I've often wondered how fast you'd have to go to become air borne.

Try counting road kill or cops. There is usually pleanty of each. As for my favorite I77 From Parkersburg WV to Canton OH. Just set the cruise and go.

Good luck and have a safe one.

Nah, never said it wasn't boring... it's just that the 6 hours it usually takes to get thru it, is my last 6 hours of the night. Boring and tiring are severely different to me.

I think the flat uninteresting states wear me out more. You get a few hills or trees or sharp curves and they keep you interested. It seems like Ohio, Indiana and Illinois wear me out most. So where do we spend most of our time??? ...yup Just call me tired. :)

I hafta agree with PA lengthwise. My tiring award goes to 77 thru WV. But monotonous goes to 75 thru Ohio and the 401 from Windsor to Toronto.

I saw the most gruesome mass deer suicide in Pennsylvania a few months back. They ran into the road at 1/2 mile intervals for about 14 miles in about a two hour period. I drove through it right after it had happened. Awful. Deer parts and truck trim everywhere.

>I 55 from St Louis to Chicago.

Spot on! The biggest and about the only hill between the two is the that giant trash mound about a hundred miles out from Chicago!

Two of my favorite stretches,

I-65 from Indy to Nashville - Good scenery, some fun climbs.

I-80 just about anyplace, just open road, and good arguements on the CB.:)
