Why not use some of your riches to better our fellow citizens lives, rather than trying to buy your way into the political arena?

Even though these ladies are Republicans and I'm a conservative, I must admit that I have a problem with anyone spending that kind of their own money on a campaign. Bloomberg did it for the mayor of New York.....it has to be the power they're after, I can't believe that anyone with that kind of wealth would be able to have a firm commitment to make change.

Another example, an even larger one would be George Soros. This man uses millions to manipulate and we seldom see stories of criticism on him. He's far more dangerous with his money than these ladies ever thought of being.....just sayin'

I think they have each helped thousands of people better their life's by creating numerous jobs which is a better way to help any day than just passing out money to people. It is a tougher call to say which is worse someone with large sums of money to spend on a campaign or someone who takes large sums of money from special interests to spend on their campaign. I think I would lean towards those self funded. We have to remember two of these women were in running in Cali and were up against the odds to begin with.

After one gains wealth, the only other real weenie (prize) remaining of this world is power over others .....

I can't believe that anyone with that kind of wealth would be able to have a firm commitment to make change.

I'm sure that quite a few have a very firm commitment to change .... but the relevant question is:

What kind of change ?

Personally, I'd rather see them spending their own money on this kind of stuff rather than that of the taxpayers. I would also argue that it was better spent in that manner than if they had frittered it away on useless causes that promote the entitlement mentality created by "spreading the wealth around". Wonder how many jobs this money created in private businesses involved in advertising and media throughout the state of California? Maybe that $127 Billion wasn't entirely wasted after all. At any rate, it's their money and they can spend it any way they please.

well if you follow WWE you'd know how Linda McMahon donates to our troops...the upcoming USO Christmas show in Iraq for years now..also any active service person that shows up at a show in uniform is admitted free...and the monthly pay events are free to service facilities and service personal at home....

Vince and Linda do a great thing to help lift the moral for our troops...the WWE is a very popular thing with our men and women....just watch the show and see the smile on their faces...priceless....
