Are you telling me your APU doesn't work either ?

Well, I must admit the genset is still capable of running.
It is not capable of performing as needed for an expeditor.
This hybrid is not a very good system for the type of hours
we run.
It doesnt make sense that after 20=30 hours of a straight thru
coast to coast that the batterries would need charging.
Oh wait, AGMs dont charge off the alternator.
BIG MISTAKE.

Holy crap...your decision or the installer?......

sounds like they were trying to create a genset completely independent from the main engine, which is a good thing, but the AGMs should also charge off the genset as well.....should be a way to charge off either system with a flip of a switch...

AGM? Hybrid? I don't understand either of these terms as they apply to generators. Education please.

Just an update. August was even better than July. Almost $25,000 to the truck. Got our TVAL cert back. 13 loads hauled, of those, 7 were TVAL. 2 dry runs. Total per mile is back up to $2.10/mile all miles for the month. 11,794 authorized miles down from 12,636. We ran less and made more :cool:.

On a not so good note, the truck was in the shop for 4+ days. (replaced starter, XY shifter and transmission issues, reefer repairs) I know this cost us at least one good load, probably more. Would really like to have an entire month where we don't have to spend anytime OOS with the truck in the shop. With our goal of at least $1000 a day to the truck, we might have been looking at close to a $30,000 month.
